This is where I made arrangements to stay for the winter (On Private Property), so this is my home. I plug into the outside boathouse outlet using an extension cord. My main source of heating the van is with my ceramic heater, so I need that to stay warm. Also, my tires were frozen to the ground, and I couldn't move the van even if I wanted to. I only spoke to the person, because at that moment, I thought if I didn't let him know I was in there, he would've broken in to steal. But, besides all those reasons, I was frozen with fear, and couldn't really think straight. Hope that helps answering some of your questions. Peace!! :)
A useful thing to have is a little uber-bright Convoy torch if ever you are confronted in darkness. More use when outside, but blinding someone when confronted by dubious characters has been handy a few times over the years. Stay safe.
This happened around 4.30am on private property! Who the hell goes around at that time knocking on peoples vans? and yes the guy knew you were in the van because of where he knocked on the side. Does the property owner live onsite? or are you alone? Keep safe.
@@caddy200 No, the property owner does not live onsite, and I was alone. Now that the nicer weather is approaching, I'm starting to see people again. Thanks, and You do the same...Cheers!!
I agree. Weakness arouses evil. He came back 3 times because he was aroused. And now he knows he is aroused by this senario and has plenty of time to fantasize an be more prepared next time. Hopefully I am wrong. Only an evil pervert with a broken moral compass would be stalking a woman in a van at 4 AM. - His question was probably, "Do you want to die tonight?"
@@AsleepFiveDecades should not use your own voice as a woman as predator might harm you, better record a male voice to frighten him off or not answer at all!
1. Install high intensity flood lights on top of your van that are remote control. 2. Install steel loop handles onto all of your doors. Then loop your seat belts through them and click them into their harness. No way that door can be opened from the outside. Even if it is unlocked. Do the same for your side and back doors. 3. Install a police siren on your van connected to your fob key panic button. 4. ALWAYS park under a street light if possible. 5. Get a big dog or at least a barking dog sound on your horn. Finally. Most important. Always. Always trust your gut instinct. Your conscience will tell you of impending danger. Listen to it and get the hell out of there! DRIVE AWAY! Stay safe!
I think they would simply mount anywhere on the interior door wherever they are out of your way...? I'm thinking that the door handle... not the door handle that actually works the mechanism but the part you grab to close it from the inside (you know, the thing-a-ma-jig!).. I'm sure feeding the seat belt thru that, then latching it would be effective as well.. if you don't feel confident/lacking tools or parts to be drilling into your vehicle..
It's not wise to talk to the intruder, when they know it's a woman inside it just adds to the danger.Never park in lonely areas, having a gun is extra protection. Also cameras in the front and back of your vehicle can give you a good idea of who is outside .
@@sheepadoo5154 tell us you're a bitter lonely little man with teeny boy bits without telling us you're a bitter lonely little man with teeny boy bits.
That is exactly what my intruder said to me! My house got broken into and when I screamed and told him to get out he said 'I have a question for you' before attacking me...and ultimately meeting his demise. Do not trust strangers at indecent hours. Stay blessed and do not introduce a weapon you cannot maintain control of. Thats just solid advice for you!
very good advice, being a women men can be stronger and take your weapon away, I always hid mine as I held it ready to use Thank God at the last second 2 strangers seen what was going on and came to help me so I didn't have to kill that person (stranger) that tried to crab me and get me into his car
That's excellent advice: don't deploy a weapon unless you're prepared to kill. Just waving a gun around is not necessarily going to contribute to your security. Get trained and know about using it when you need to. In this day and age there's nothing extreme about a woman being prepared to defend herself! You might also keep some MACE spray on hand.
@@nervous-wreck367 I gigged him in the neck with a shovel. I guess some good Samaritan heard the commotion and came running. Cause he fell out a second story window and someone ran up and hit him in the head. He was later found a few blocks down face down in the alley. They hauled me in gave me a good questioning and let me go. I moved out I couldn't even stay there after that. Nobody will even buy the house it's just sitting there collecting dust a decade later. Horrible just horrible. It was one hell of a fight. I wouldn't recommend it.
I find that the sound of a shotgun being racked answers most random questions. one with a super bright flashlight mount just makes your answer that much easier to understand.
My buddy has a small camper he does this in. Best thing he ever did was spend $100 bucks on a decent set of 2 cameras he mounted on the outside so he could see outside while he was locked inside. Also travels with a small 4" 38 spl revolver loaded with good hollow points. Cause a 5-6 shot revolver is legal in most if not all the US. I Kno that's 3-4 hundred bucks but u only gotta buy it once and how much is your life worth.. 🤷 just food for thought. And you dont gotta keep it loaded while u travel. So u dont half to worry bout "legal" trouble. Keep it loaded when your asleep next to you. Whoever that was had no good intentions.. you dont knock on random doors house/van at 4am if your a normal person in the right state of mind. U were definitely in danger that night.
One thing I don't understand. You know you live in a dangerous country . I would never go camping. Wirh all the serial killers and other crazy people out there. Just try staying safe do other stuff for sport
All I can think of is: They can hear you whispering. Because you did not leave the area, they think that you probably went back to sleep. You said that you didn't feel safe! One thing is for certain, people are getting more and more evil. Please plan for this to happen again and take precautions.
OMG! You were/are being stalked. Ik others have already told you but I agree 100% w/them...never, never, tell anyone in a situation like that that you don't feel safe. That could be a HUGE trigger & excitement for him to go to any & ALL lengths to get to you. Ik you won't make that mistake again but plz be careful.
Yeah 3 times is asking to be raped and murdered even with your tiny knife to defend yourself are are kidding yourself. Speaking up and letting them know you are a femaie confirms to them you are alone and a woman, so you are vulnerable. And how many chances are you going to give them to break in? That is plain stupid stupid stupid? Wake up and and get real. People are dangerous and you as a solo female are vulnerable so get smart
Make sure the state your in recognizes the permit from the state you got it in or it’s not legal. My permit from the state I got it in was legal in 37 other states but not in the rest of them. Just a reminder. If you shoot someone even for your safety with an illegal gun you will be charged.
I think while camping ,hunting or fishing in any state it's legal to carry a loaded firearm, never pull it unless you mean to use it ,and don't use it inside your van when an invited person is already in your van with you, but if your in bed you have peace of mind when someone cums through your door in the middle of the night
@@dianegaut5014 would rather be charged then dead, and if you come up against more than one assailant, a firearm might possibly swing the odds back in your favour, hand to hand fighting is not a good option even with a knife or axe etc, most people are not trained or experienced enough with pistols to make there shots count when it matters a longarm rifle or shotgun is usually the best option unfortunately.
I am a women lived alone most of my life, my dogs have saved me and my home from being broken into many times ,if you like dogs you might want to consider getting one they are good company as well , I agree I feel whoever it was or they were planning on braking in or even stealing your van . I would of been very scared too, and would of let them know I was in there but I wouldn't of been nice due to fear only .glad you are alright and they finally left , don't ever let anyone know you have weapons men are stronger and can take them from you so use it wisely and hidden if possible I always carry a cloth shoulder bag with a knife in a case that snaps open ,,I can open it with just my thumb , just leave your hand in the bag with your knife in your hand it will go through the cloth bag ( not a real thick cloth bag ) , I always kept my knife sharp, and I always have pepper spray in my back pocket of my blue jeans even during the day , to many crazy people out there now days . always be alert , but were you still can enjoy life . if you travel to the NW avoid high way of tears it goes into Canada from Washington state , I feel one of the things that might have saved you they properly heard you whisper and that made them think you were not alone .
Yea, that's happened to me too. Although, I was in a parking lot at 2am, and whoever was trying door handle to see if open. My two dogs started growing and I grabbed my revolver,/ hand gun. Whoever it was starting running through a gravel area fast and I could hear that. Pepper spray, a good hand gun, and a bright beam flashlight is a must for car camping, it just is. Stay safe.thanks for video.
Lady nomad, im so glad you're alright. Another deterrent if you're in a situation like this is to push the panic button of your car alarm to alert all around you and to let those strangers know you're aware with out talking...Most of the time, this is enough for a bad guy(s) to leave you alone since everyone has been alerted by your panic alarm and lights flashing of your vehicle's external lights. Get one installed a.s.a.p if you don't have one and it is the best security when you're everywhere since you can use the panic button if someone is trying to hurt you in a parking lot or like the time you had an uninvited guest knocking at around 4am. Also, besides the sound alarm it will have your external headlamps of your vehicle keep on flashing as s.o.s when the panic alarm is activated. Be safe and be well. Safe travels and happy trails to you. Cheers from a fella nomad/ modern pioneer rv living in the Nevada desert! Bye for now.
Hello fella nomad, and Thank You so much for caring enough to leave this wonderful message. It's certainly something worth considering!! :) Wishing You the same!!
Three things...first, I would rig up an emergency LED flood light system you can kick on that illuminates the entire outside of your vehicle if you encounter that situation, maybe even motion activated. Second, you could probably rig up a "ring" type camera system with night vision as well. Lastly, when someone knocks on your door at 4:30AM and says, I have a question, you say "Get away from my van, I have a shotgun and I'll use it, I'm calling the police right now." Remember, this is technically your home, so you have to defend it as such.
All women need to be able to mimic a gruff male sounding voice, and yell in that voice, like you're talking to the "other person" behind the locked door with you, "GET THE GUN," even if you don't have one. They'll get to stepping then. Being able to bark like a large dog also helps. When you're in danger, there's no time for politeness and manners.
Being that my voice is a bit on the deeper side, I could probably pull it off, but hopefully I won't have to find out. Thanks for the wonderful ideas!! :)
It won't work,, he already so her by herself,, she needed to call the police immediately,, he never would of nock if he saw a man with her,, everything points to a rapist,,serial killer,,
That's so scary girl!!! My bf and I were homeless for like a year and a half, we slept in a 2003 dodge Durango and we had creepy feelings of people walking round the vehicle !! Absolutely scary especially when all your windows are covered and your to afraid to peek out!! You should really get a small gun and always have it on you or near you please!!!!!!!! There's SICK PEOPLE EVERYWHERE!!
If you are not part of a van community please join one. There are so many people who can help you figure out how to navigate this situation better. Luckily you are alive, but you basically just admitted to whoever it was outside that you are a woman who is alone with no protection. Please stay safe and best of luck to you!
That is truly terrifying. The first time could be a drunk or an idiot, second time could be a problem, third time is a stalker or worse looking for a crack in your security since no neighbors turned on any lights. Try some of those solar powered motion security lights that come on when someone creeps around your van. That alone would cure "mistakes" so at least you would know anyone you have to "gut" with that knife actually deserves to be disemboweled. Stay safe.
I found some nice motion solar powered lights that are at the dollar store for 14 dollars. They are very bright too. I put them up for the same reasons. 👍
Always trust your gut. I have been in this situation a time or two. I didn't say a word, got in the driver's seat and left. It's a dangerous world we live in now a days. Stay safe.
I had a sign made up locally with a crime scene chalk outline on it and the words "If you're found here at night, you'll be found here in the morning." No one even pulls in my driveway anymore. Lol.
This is true. There is a guy named Rob the Nomad on Facebook who started having viewers try (and some succeeded) to find where he was camping. Scary stuff.
Wasp spray, powdered fire extinguisher or 30,000 lumen flashlight will give you time to decide how you want to end the situation. I have motion detectors and motion activated lights mounted on my van.
@@MichelleJohnson-tg5lx Be sure to try contractors blue chalk powder in you fire extinguisher so they will look like Smurfs on their mugshots 😆 They sell the chalk line refills at Lowe's and Home Depot.
So glad u r OK. In future, maybe have all outside things packed and inside be ready to start your van and get out of there, keeping your keys in the ignition. I would not have stayed. Please be safe!
you can carry wasp spray (legal in all 50 states)for defense 25 ft distance spray, ratchet straps across your van around the handles(they cant pull them open without making alot of noise) and it will give you a extra seconds to react. my buddy uses c clamps to to hold the side and back doors together when he sleeps in the woods. please be safe.
For reasons too involved to explain, I lived in my 2005 Mazda 6s. It has a great car alarm. I park in a friend's big double driveway or in the driveway with fencing at another empty house they own. Ok on a calm non windy night, sound asleep, 3:45 and woken from dead sleep by my car alarm. Scared the hell out of me. I started my car ,I sleep in front seat, I looked around ,with headlights on, and drove away to the well lit Walmart Super Center parking lot, parked way over to the darker edge of the lot and went back to sleep a couple hours.I high tailed it one reason I'm glad I sleep in front seat. My calves swell but. Hopefully, another year or so, and I'll be in an apartment.
Wow , I have 4 small solar powered motion sensored lights placed 1 on each side at the top of the van. (From Amazon)2 driveway alarms that act as a early warning if someone approaches. I installed a oversized wide angle door peep hole through my sliding door to see outside. The lights come on when someone gets close to the van.
@@AsleepFiveDecades Not at all. Magnets on the lights to remove while traveling. The driveway alarms can be permanently mounted or hung they can also be placed a distance away from the van, you have a receiver in the van that gives a audible warning. The peep hole is drilling a hole and threading it in, may need a spacer of some sort. It’s a DIY thing.
@@rex.aka2leggedstray576 Awesome, do you think you can drop me the link for the small solar powered motion sensored lights you got from Amazon? The peep hole thing I can tell you right away that I wouldn't be able to do that, but love the idea!! :)
So, we had a situation somewhat like this and it was someone looking for drugs. This also sounds like someone testing or casing you/the van to gauge occupancy and response. Be safe and well!
I travel with my 2 dogs, one being a very protective American bulldog & a little terrier, my big girl would definitely defend me to the death, its nice knowing I'm well protected. 👌
NOBODY should be knocking on a sleeping vehicle unless it’s an obvious emergency. Being the dangerous good guy, I’m very comfortable confronting my quarry in pitch blackness and creating an emergency for THEM in cases like these. Yes - I’m vanLife.
Several years back I had a woman business associate who had a stranger approach her camper twice, freaked her out. She then thought she heard him again, she didn't hesitate. Quickly opened the van door and exited with her sidearm in its holster. But that isn't what sent the guy fleeing, she rehabilitated big cats, that's why she kept a distance from others. When she exited her full grown jaguar was on a leash. He immediately noticed the cat, cat was not friendly and she told him she'll release the cat against him. Wish his face was filmed as he spotted the jaguar, would have been priceless! Personally, I don't trust people enough to camp anymore, use to all the time, not now.
The creep's 1st attempt: he was acting "in the capacity of" a john. Re: his 2nd attempt: he intended to "force the issue", since his "1st attempt" didn't bear any "fruit." And finally, the presence of his (?) car seems to indicate he may have had "others" with him...🌿🗽Psalm 23
Ma'am look..if you're seeing this then you need to listen but don't get offended because I'm gonna give it to you straight..you made 100 mistakes that night and a few of them could've gotten you killed!! When you first began feeling threatened you should've immediately got dressed and got behind the wheel and gotten out of there..failing to do so and GOING BACK TO SLEEP... What is wrong with you!?!?!? You ought to be Thankful they weren't seriously wanting to harm you because they could've broke into your van and got you and you would've been half asleep and done!! Nice knife you have but always assume the attackers have a gun..so do you see what kind of tragedy could have happened from you being careless and irresponsible? Please be smart next time and get behind that wheel and get away to safety while calling 911 on your phone..it will save your life. Be smart!! Be careful and stay safe💪👌
May God and angels watch over you young lady .I felt your fear .I am a middle aged guy that has been living out of his for quite some time .I feel vulnerable when people get real close to my van at night .Some take a peek inside even my windows are usually covered .Well I wish you the best of luck .I hope you will be safe out there.
I am a woman who lives alone in an isolated spot about a mile outside of an itty bitty Idaho town. I've been around firearms my whole life and when I moved out of my parent's home at age 18, my dad gave me a revolver. I still have it. Twice in my life, I have had someone at my door around 3 am. My dogs soft growling woke me up during the 1st incident which happened around 1995. I pulled out my revolver...did not turn on any lights and went into the living room and watched as someone tried to turn the door handle. At that point, I an Very Loud, Angry Voice...I said... "Who ever is out there, if you try to come into my house, I have a gun and I WILL Shoot you!" I heard movement, then the sound of my chain-link fence being jumped and just to give them another warning, I let my 2 dogs out who at that point, barked like dogs from hell...lol. The 2nd time, was just a few years ago...someone knocked on my door at around 3 am, but would not respond when I asked who was there. I had 2 different dogs this time, and they were very loud, growl/barking. The person would not answer...so I gave them the same line...try to come in and I would shoot them. After a moment, I heard my screen door shut and heard footsteps moving away from my home. I didn't let the dogs out this time because there was no fencing between that door and the road. Both times, afterwards, I did call the police, but by the time they got their asses out to my home they never saw anyone. My favorite pro-gun quote is: When seconds count, cops are minutes away.
So happy your safe. Your thoughts on being watched feels correct. If you ever use that knife cut a line above the eyebrows honey they won’t see with the blood running into their eyes. If their scared of blood it will give you time for the next move. We definitely could use defence classes in school for women especially urban women who might not have experience with handling guns. Stay safe and hope you get a dog or move to a mobile community that look out for each other.

I have been living in my 1994 25 foot class A motorhome for 4 years now. I travel with my little dog Tinkerbell boondocking and camping around the western U.S. filming what I see and exploring. I have had a few scary situations my self. I understand it is hard to think when your alone in the middle of the night and someone is outside your van or in my case motorhome. I was in the middle of nowhere when around 2am I heard a mans voice anyone in there can you help me. Getting woke up like that in the night shakes a person up. So I was not thinking straight either. I made a video in my experience and an update video of me going back to see what was really going on. New I have practiced what I will say and do if anything like that happens again.. I'm glad you are ok! Ill be checking out more of your videos.
I'm glad you're ok. Scary situation. Driving away isn't always the safest decision. Getting run off the road by some nut case isn't safe either. I know I'd be shook too but I'd be screaming get the f away from my van or you ain't gonna survive. I've practiced a million times, what it would feel like to be put in that situation. I sleep with a predators worst nightmare, and promise to be their last f ing problem 😡 not everyone is comfortable with guns, but I'm not comfortable with assholes who have no good intentions. Jeez I'm glad you're ok. Bet ya he'd have crapped his pants if you banged back at him without warning lol
Hello Lynda, and Thank You for your kind words and understanding!! 🤗 You almost make it sound funny if someone tried to mess with You, but I know it’s NO JOKING matter!! This is NOT my first experience, just my worst so far, so maybe I should practice more like You did! 🥰 Oh, and btw, one time I had to bang on my back window when some strange man was trying to peak at 11 pm, and it WORKED...He ran so fast! ☮️💟💫
Yea, and some people have no choice. I wasn't actually alone, but homeless with my two small dogs. And always have weapons in arms reach. A hand gun, pepper spray, knife. Had two close calls within a year. Once had to fire off a warning shot to get someone off my door. I have a revolver, first shot was a blank, other 7 rounds were hollow point+p.
One of the reasons I don’t camp out anymore. There are so many creeps around. I think you did well under the circumstances and the bear spray is a good idea.
You don’t “hear footprints” you “hear footsteps”. As another poster told you, NEVER tell someone you don’t feel safe!! Find another camping spot, not so isolated, take safety precautions! Stay safe!!
"I don't feel safe right now." Exactly what you do NOT want to say to a stranger knocking on the door of your van at 4:30AM in the middle of nowhere! She is extremely lucky that didn't cause the situation to escalate in a very bad way for her. You need to be much better prepared for a potential encounter like this when camping alone. You might not get a redo next time.
Hopefully you're not there any longer! One thing you always want to remember is never ever ever ever ever take on the feeling of a victim because as soon as you lower your vibration down there to fear and victimization and leave it there for very long you will only create more situations where you will be victimized. Always take responsibility down to the Core of all of your choices if that's what it takes to level your thoughts back out and finding the silver lining in every situation helps as well. I'm going to hit the road one day and I'm learning from all of you. My home and property has plenty of room for someone such as you during the winter but I've always hesitated because I cherish my Safe Haven. Do everything you can to keep your Vibe up and just know that your higher self will always tell you through your gut whether you should step forward or stay put. The law of attraction is Real and True. That which is like unto itself is drawn. Hugs
I'm sorry you had to go through that scare. When I was boondocking in my RV I always had a really loud push button siren and flood lights that I could activate from inside. I also had a variety of self defense tools. You can never be too careful these days. Idiots are everywhere.
If you are sleeping alone in a van, you need better protection. This should show you how close and vulnerable you are to being broken into. Some creep has noticed you, and been watching you. I know how frightened you were because I live alone, and had a man terrorizing me. The world is not as safe as it use to be for US all. Wherever you are, I hope you are safe. Always, day or night, keep your doors all locked. Men know that women feel safe in the daytime, and don't always lock their doors then. My prowler/stalker has taught me to keep my doors locked at all times. Even in the daytime or night, lock your doors, so no one can get inside your place, and be waiting inside for you to get back inside. NEVER let your guard down. You're a beautiful lady. Stay safe!!
The best protection would be to start up the van and take off! If anyone is standing in your way, oh well! Don't say a word, because you don't want them knowing that you're a woman who is alone. If they follow you go straight to the nearest police station. You should always know where the local police are located when staying in a new location. And have the police on the phone as you're headed their way.....so they're aware and waiting for you
Maybe saying that the police are already on their way would scare anyone with bad intentions away. Also camera security for your van would give you extra safety. Glad you are prepared to defend yourself ✊😘
As crazy as it sounds, I keep a recording of a male voice with various responded for situations such as these. Don’t respond and especially don’t say you are scared! A knife is the absolute last line of defense. Keep a gun, spray, or whatever longer distance protection you are competent and can fight with appropriately. Honest to god I’d rather protect myself with a slingshot with metal shot before a knife.
👋 I’ve watched a few of his videos before, but I never thought I’d be in one of them. 🤓 Oh, and btw, I know the difference between Footprints 👣 and Footsteps. Fear does crazy things to the mind.
I say Who is it? Unless it's the police, I say "Leave" or like you said, "it's 4 in the morning". I've even said, Get the f*&k away from my van, Now!!!!! I said this to a kid literally leaning against my van looking straight into my windows....but the thing is I happen to be filming a video about Love, and true hippie values...and here I was screaming profanity! Kinda ruined the point!!
Unfortunately, the weapons you have may not protect you bc to use them they would need to be already on you/attacking you. There have been so many people who have lost their lives doing what you’re doing, if I were you I would get a gun regardless of your views. If you can’t stop someone before they reach you, your chances of surviving after they have you is very low. Especially when it’s multiple against one but even 1 man, once he’s inside really just think about that. A situation like that your best chance at survival is shooting the moment they make entry.
Amanda, while you are correct that the closer the attacker gets the less likely you are to survive, I want to add that you should never give up. When I was 16 years old and absent minded a man grabbed me and pressed a knife flat against my belly. I grabbed the knife and tried to stomp his feet. He pulled his feet back to protect them. It was winter and he stepped on snow and ice. He fell and I fell on top of him. While we were struggling for control of the knife, police arrived. That was forty years ago. Since then I have served in the Marine Corps and eventually retired from law enforcement and from the National Guard. Yes your chance of survival goes down when the intruder gets close, but I am living proof that there is still a chance. Don't shoot unnecessarily, but don't hesitate when shooting is really necessary. Get training on firearms and on self defense in general and never give up. Don't go out without a fight.
I'm glad you are safe. There are some bad people out there with very bad intentions. I have a question at 4:30 in the morning? BAD INTENTIONS. I hope you are armed with more than that knife. Stay safe.
Thank You, I certainly agree that it was bad intentions, and I do have more than just a knife. Looking into getting other stuff to protect myself as well. :)
First time watching, and I really felt for you. I seriously hope you don't have to go through anything like that again. I think you've handled this marvelously, you don't realise how brave you are. But always remember safety before anything. All kind thoughts to you. ☺️🇬🇧

This should be a video of WHAT NOT TO DO IF YOUR A WOMAN SLEEPING IN A VAN. The fact you can’t read normal social cues and think your little 2.5” blade is going to do something truly blows my mind. The fact you didn’t leave after the first encounter, the second encounter, you even stayed after the third encounter!!!!! You wake up and show everyone the foot prints. No one deserves violence against them but how many chances do you expect? I’m the father of girls and my youngest is 7 now I’d like to think has more common sense than this. People may say I’m being harsh and rude , that’s fine if it takes people speaking the truth to wake you up to the real dangers of the world than so be it. If your anti firearm or prohibited from carrying one go buy a can of grizzly attack spray. Follow it up with a secondary weapon. I’ve seen attackers drop to their knees after getting the sauce in the face. I hope this was your wake up call and you protect yourself and leave situations like this. Despite my comments I wish you safety on all your travels. I wish you the best and admire your story after reading your bio , many more adventures ahead!
don't ask questions.. don't reply.. get your keys and GO.. always.. ALWAYS.. park your vehicle in a way that you can make a FAST escape (like backing in) and NEVER stay once someone has intruded in on your space.. get GHOST immediately.. even IF it's 4:30am and especially if the dude knocking is on a bike.. obviously.. you can outrun a bike..
Don't ever tell someone you are alone and you don't feel safe that is so stupid. You need to make them think you are armed and never let them know you're alone.
Thank You very much, your kind words mean A lot to me! :) And I certainly agree that a dog would help alert me before the knocks, but I'm just not sure if I'll be able to take good care of one just yet!!
At 2 a.m. at my home I told a strange knocker deliberately mumbling at my door, then clearly stating they had something for me that I had a .32 for them, aimed at them on the other side of the door they were at. I didn't mumble either! Why do folks act like this? Bc there are mean, dangerous asswipes in this world. Take the best of care.
What made you ...say to the person on the outside you don't feel....safe....that was already your first mistake....then they knew you were alone... And a womans voice....you should have left ....immediately....I am just listening to you ....makes me shake in my boots...very stupid of you to stay and they came back a 3rd time....leave immediately...when you sense danger....
OMG thank you….. I don’t think she was that frozen if she reached for that camera 🤷🏾♀️ I don’t get that. Me and my son watched and I asked him what would he do…. The very first thing he said is I would have been GONE after the 1st 3 knocks. And like u said her fist mistake (those were my exact words)was opening her mouth and saying you don’t feel safe and u let him know your a female. I was also wonder whose house was that she was at? I just don’t understand how she STAYED there he clearly did not have good intentions. Homegirl gotta do better but I get it she froze but honey at some point you gotta UNFREEzE or something that could have ended bad real bad…..
I'm wondering if you turned on an alarm instead of speaking (like an airhorn, loud), if that would be enough to scare him away? then he wouldn't know who was in the van.
This doesn't just got for this lady but maybe instead of recording shit. Start the van and leave staying in a unsafe place and recording saying it, is as bad as in a horror movie people don't get in a car to leave or run upstairs smh
@@AsleepFiveDecades sorry if I came off like a prick. But I don't wanna see anyone get hurt. Atleast not cause they do something that could have waited
Get a trail cam set it up where you think its best suited. And get some lights outside Motion detector lights. buy some bear spray And a set of goggles to protect your eyes, Just for safety And hope you never have to use it. Stay safe. :)
This sounds like a serial killer. I would have left the first time. A dog even a small one like a beagle, who has a big voice, would give them second thoughts about going any further so you can drive away.
@@annabell3385 I have poodles. They remind me that they are poodles when they poo. I love these poodles and I wouldn't give them up. An intruder might find an 8 pound poodle's teeth sunk into his hand and my fist in his face. I might have other tactical surprises for the intruder.
Is solo vanlife really worth all the possible danger and risks? Sure, the great outdoors beckons to so many of us but surely we can experience very similar joys and experiences by taking ‘normal’ vacations in comparative safety knowing there are other human beings around? (I guess the herd instinct is strong in me lol)
I'm camping in a Camry, and I have Weather Tech custom shades on my windows. I was in a Walmart parking lot, and had my shades up, when someone came and knocked on my window. I didn't answer, and they knocked again. I didn't even take down my side shields, just my front one, and I drove off. Another time before I got my shields, someone went around my car with a flashlight, and tried the door, which fortunately was locked.
