Wallmart is a JOKE, 30 months in the last 48 months was ask for, Company will train a dock worker for CDL put him in a truck but will not hire a driver with 30 years because driver took 1 1/2 year of of driving, 🤦... thanks to Olivia McNeill Senior Recruiting Coordinator.
My wife's nephew worked for a Walmart store and he became a Walmart trucker. When he was going through a divorce Walmart wouldn't give him more than 1 day for the court days, but he still had to drive a rental car 2 states, meet his court days and drive back and was disciplined for not reporting back on time. Then his grandmother passed away and Walmart only allowed him 3 days off.. 1 travel day, 1 day to attend the funeral and 1 day travel back. It's a job but they're pretty strict and sticklers.
So if I go work in the store for then go to their cdl school I can drive for them, but if I drove for 40 years and took a 15 month break I dont have enough experience lol I wonder if anybody with common sense explained that to the management.
Yeah, I'm in the same boat. Been a trucker since 2006. Was in jail from Mar 2021-Jan 2022. Got out, worked for Sharp Transit, delivering to Aldi's. Just quit in Dec 2023. Gonna apply, but I fear they're gonna say you DON'T have 30 months (or how many months) in the past.
Hey man quick question, I was pulled in for a worn license plate and got a warning even though I have a temporary via email and proof of a new one being ordered. They also gave me a warning for improper use of PC where I drove home after delivering a load, and a warning regarding entering shipping info in a totally separate area from the loaded/empty calls which I fill out regularly. Other than this, I have no violations tickets or accidents. Will this affect my chances of being hired at Walmart? Thanks brother
I don't think so they all have been warnings. Just be honest when applying if you don't let them know about it they don't like that and might not hire you. Just be honest with them
@@truckercrespo4573 yeah I’ll definitely want to be the one to explain to them it first. Also none of the warnings are safety related, just small mistakes in my logbook. This was my first time ever being pulled inside from the scale so now I know what I did wrong…we’ll see man thanks
I'm in and out of our distribution center 2 to 3 times a day and shower there. But if I get hung out, I'll shower at a truck stop. Walmart pays for showers.
I drive loads with hazmat products every day but not enough to Placard. I'm sure in times of bad storms like hurricanes or tornadoes we will be hauling lots of propane tanks and other hazmat materials but for now it's good to have I guess
I have been Trucking 34 yrs straight...my only problem is tha Advantage wants ur W2s..too much information..the only good thing is No Touch Freight...another thing...Slip Seating..everyone should have their own truck...quit being cheap...each is worth over 24 Billion dollars..
They say you are going to make $100k a year so about $2k a week before taxes but it's also on you to work hard. It's easy to slack because they don't micro manage you.
Mr crespo, good evening applied for Walmart been driving for 38 years because I had 1 accident no other vehicle involved Walmart didn’t hire me they told me I had to wait 3 years any advice what I can do ?
It's weird because I made tons of money in my previous trucking job but I'm really happy here. Hey it's not for everyone I get it. But make enough money to maintain the same lifestyle I had with the money I used to make.a
@@truckercrespo4573 thats what im sayin. u did better at prime bro....alot of people b swearing by walmart buuutnidk i personally know a few people who tryed to ride that ship and yea...found out fast.
@@412hwc I’ve been saying that to people the longest too, back in the day Walmart did pay pretty good fuel bonus and profit sharing and more but around I say 2018 they switched everything into ADP to make you work longer and harder for instance they have a courteous pole at a store if it’s full an they don’t pay their drivers for that absolutely trash, yea the PTO system is good but that’s it. If you want to make really good money you option A have to “promote” yourself and have people use your driver code or option B stay in a truck and extend or be on some stupid slip seating schedule or option C team….
walmart may pay great and have good benfits but i could not work for them too mush bs over there i would not do good working the walmart way plus they stick their nose too much in your personal business just to fill out app i make good money where iam at around 90k sure not as much as walmart but it works for me
Hey man thats good money and if it works for you that is perfect. at the end we are all looking for a job that works for each and everyone of us. trust me Walmart is not perfect but what company is perfect?
That be some bs. Because if a driver’s trainer in the back sleeping while you’re driving. You’re making all the decisions. They can’t train if they are in the back sleep. Referring to the companies that do the team driving training format.
Dude, not defending Walmart, but their equipments & facilities are top notch. I began my trucking career at Swift in 2006. Some terminals were nice, like Phoenix, others were crap. Plus I hear the pay is among the highest too. Hence I'm gonna apply soon.
According from I am gathering from your video you are not the one who decides the weekend you want to be off. However Walmart is a very demanding on his employes no matter what. Human been for them is not someone with a soul it is just a dollar manufacturer profit only matters to Walmart.
You decide which week you want to start, and that’s how you know what your weekend is. You can’t work at Walmart because you don’t care about profit, you work for free with a soul.
