In today's episode Rich sits down with former NFL punter and media standout Pat McAfee. Pat, who was selected by the Indianapolis Colts in the 7th round of the 2009 NFL Draft, talks about his road to the NFL, how he fibbed and told Colts GM Bill Polian that he could punt and hold for field goal attempts and how teammate Adam Vinatieri helped him take a crash course on both. Pat also talks about his rise in the sports media world and how it helped land him a gig with Vince McMahon and the WWE. All that and some Peyton Manning stories in this episode of Just Getting Started with Rich Eisen.

It's great how both are time-slot rivals but they always help each other. When McAfee was smaller Rich helped him getting him in his studio to do interviews, when Rich lost his show in the previous network Pat helped him getting him in his studio to do interviews. For me they're 1# and 2#(no particular order) in sports shows today.

I love Rich! I think he is one of the smartest cats in the game. I love the way he stands up for the athletes. Rich's 40-yard dash is a classic and he turned it into a brand. Awesome stuff!!! Pat McAfee is an inspiration. He made the punter position interesting. He is an amazing entrepreneur. He takes care of his Boyz. He provides football players a place they can do interviews and be themselves. He is not looking for gotcha moments. Plus he is funny AF! Pat is being his authentic self and is WINNING. An amazing couple of guys here.
