omgosh yes. When I got my first job a few years ago it was *such* a culture shock. I didn't know what to say to literally anyone bc of how different it was. And it's not like I'm a socially awkward person or was never socialized, but I was just so sheltered from non-homeschoolers.
@kaylasrainbow, it will be a shock, but as long as you focus and work hard, you will be fine. And on top of that, depending on the state you are in and if you get your GED homeschooling is better then public school

I don’t go to a catholic or Christian school, my school is multicultural, but every time that we sing the national anthem, right after that they make us do a universal prayer. And what’s even better is that they allow their Christian or catholic students to say ‘amen’ right after the prayer
Yes this use to be a thing and people started bucking against the system bc church was hiding abuse and kids took it out on the faith instead of the abusers and caused a massive hate towards religion! That’s what happened in my area at least and why people bucked the system so hard.

It was incredibly accurate. There are these two underclassmen at my school who still wear masks every day, which I wouldn't really care about, except they will meet up in front of the library every day between classes and MAKE OUT WHILE STILL WEARING THEIR MASKS. I'm no expert on how different pathogens spread or bio-hazards, but I think it's safe to assume that licking and sucking on your lover’s mask and vice versa for a solid 5 minutes kinda takes away the protective qualities of masks.
I always thought it's full of loud teens who are reckless, cuss like sailor, may do drugs and typically selfish and rude but some are nice. Sorry but summer camp full of public high schoolers was like that so this is my impression
Not my school just having the few kids who "scretetly" vape and do drugs and think no one knows after they spoke as if they where outside in New York talking to their friends inside a small classroom telling someone they do drugs Yea many people know 😂oh and then theirs the same kids talking about who they slept with
Omg I’m doing this switch this year! People make private/catholic schools look so fancy but in reality it’s just uniforms and a shorter lunch/recess. THATS IT! Also reading the Bible. I was terribly bullied tho so yea. People also think it’s better manners it’s really not. Kids would say terrible swear words towards me and bully me so that’s proof! But I will miss all my friends Ty for reading
Where I live the only difference in between a Christian and government school is that u don't choose what religion u want to learn about and the funding, students are mostly the same
@@h0shii_kunyeah that’s what happened when I got to high school, unless you were it NJROTC, nobody gave a crap if you stood for the pledge or not. NJROTC just graded us on if we did or not and it’s so awkward to be one of the only two people standing in class while everyone else couldn’t care less 😂 (after I got out of NJROTC I just never stood because I didn’t see a point past that)
My senior year we had a freshman transfer from the local church academy since it only went to 8th grade. On her first day she cried because it was such a culture shock.
The unbuttoned shorts. The random “SEX” and “DRUGS” thrown in randomly at the hallway scene. The “I’m tryna fuhh” and dancing in the hallway. The “wanna go make out for attention”. It’s all just pure ⚡️Glory⚡️
As someone who transferred to a public school after going to catholic school for 10 years, I can confirm this is what it was like. The parts like "I'm tryna fuhh" were especially accurate
@@theone-only-1honestly we were kinda all pressured into it even in senior year (grade 12) no one would really say it out loud but we’d all stand and look at the flag while the person over the intercom recited the pledge
@@uncreativ_1 pretty sure my schools stopped doing it in PA after elementary, which makes sense because the pledge is really weird when you think about it.
@@theone-only-1currently in? Lol yeah cause when I was in it, out generations sorts stopped wanting to stand and pledge. It was stupid and felt pointless and cultists. So some of us stopped standing and then it became most of us then it sorta wasn't a thing in sixth grade. I don't know what really killed the pledge, but I know we stopped participating.

Yeah, a lot of this stuff is inaccurate for me(I go to a Catholic school) like the saints and Mary pictures in the locker, no one does that, but mixing up the sign of the cross and hand over the heart happens so much it’s funny

Yeah, they brought in drug dogs to my Catholic school, and this one kid climbed out of the window and we found him still running down I85 an hour later. No idea how Stephen is doing now, it’s been 15 years.
As someone who just got to high school, they say if you wish then do the pledge if allegiance. But you could also just stay seated or stand and not do anything in elementary or middle
As someone who’s switched from Catholic to public schools, I can confirm that I preferred the Catholic schools. Public schools usually have less disciplined kids (yes there are those types of kids in Catholic schools, I’m just stating I’ve seen more in public schools) but hey, I still pray ever so often. ❤
As a girl who went from Catholic elementary school to public middle and high school, this is so relatable! It was such an insane culture shock! Dyed hair, cursing, kids constantly saying slurs, not praying before class and at lunch. Instead of Mass every Wednesday, I had Anime Club (And I had to go to Sunday school to get my weekly dose of Jesus). Tbh after so many years in public school I’ve definitely switched to be more like Grace.
Even if this is true, (it’s not; because no Christian movie depicts atheists in a light even remotely similar to this), it would be to far off. Tell me one movie that shows atheists in this kind of light

I have two friends who idk if they are together or what, but one time i was wondering why they call each other pookie. One of em was like "cause we make out everyday." One time, I was sitting there, and also one of them tapped the other one on the arm and said something like "locker room?" and the other was like "yeah ok" and they were gone for a full ten minutes
@@Miri-lt7xn ohhh you should get ready, is wild out there, however, is also amazing I met two of my best friends in a public school, it's been almost 20 years and we still hang out weekly, one is the guy that I know I can trust with my life, the other is one of the most generous people I know, he is also my gym bro (for now, he insist we hit legs twice a week, so who knows how long will it last), and now as a teacher I wouldn't change a thing, I love here, some are a holes for sure, but the few or the many that don't, make it all worth it.
Genuinely. Every single day, two freshman block the stairs talking. I can barely make it to the bus on time normally, let alone with these dickbags in the way.
