Fight EVERYTHING. With a few rare exceptions, if you go to court it costs government more to prosecute you than the amount of the fine. So even if you lose, THEY lose. Since the whole point of tickets is REVENUE, not safety, if enough people fight everything long enough, government loses enough money that they'll eventually tell their badge thugs to cool it.
I got a 19 over in my personal vehicle, I have a lawyer show up to state court twice for me so far and both times the judge would not lower the speed. It's my only ticket ever and they just don't care. This is a statewide thing in GA, if you get caught speeding and get a ticket there's nothing any lawyer can do and I've consulted with a few lawyers about this because of how serious this is and I'm just fucked. The next step is hoping the cop doesn't show up for the bench trial which there's a very small chance. If your driving through Georgia don't speed because if you do you better expect to pay the full price, lawyer or not.
Hi Rowan I find it's not necessary to get yourself into trouble by the police for speeding that is why I my self have no speeding tickets or violations in my driving record because I obey the rules of the road and what the law says.
I have contacted 3 attorneys, in the state I received ticket, said no reason to spend money on attorney. Going to get fine, strict city prosecutor. What do I do? Going over bridge. $2500. I don’t want this on my record.
Wish I woulda seen this before I just paid my tickets. I’ve gotten two in 2020 and paid off those tickets within a week. Definitely cost me a couple of jobs.
@@AsronRox There were only a few jobs that I disqualified from because of those tickets. Let’s say I called 50 company’s looking for a driving job. Out of those 50 maybe 10 of them would disqualify me because of the tickets on my record.
When I went through orientation last year, the company gave us a form for US legal as an optional service($6 weekly). Never had to use it but the way they explained it is like insurance for your CDL, lol. We can still use their service if we get a ticket and havent signed up but pay a fee.

If you are well dressed, Polite, Clean shaven and don't smell like dog shit you probably will not get a ticket! If you have an attitude and wearing flip flops yes a ticket is in your future! Treat the officer as you would like to be treated and most likely you are just going to get a level one inspection. Look and act professional and you will most likely never have a problem unless you are doing better than 15 over!
