All these kiddies complaining about 17rwhp increase are delusional, that’s a 12% increase for little money in one afternoon, y’all are spoiled these days getting a 200hp with a tuning box. Back then this was all you could do without digging into the motor. It’s not done for speed, just making a vehicle sound better and more fun to drive, possibly even better MPG.
When I saw you put the TV in there, I had to go back in the comments and see when this program was aired on RU-vid because I thought I was back in the 80s no, she need to do is put a belt driven supercharger on there and you get a whole lot more ponies😊
Yeah bud, every Sunday morning. This was my church as well lol. Back in the late ‘90s on TNN then early ‘00s on Speedvision and SpikeTV. I sure do miss those days. I just bought a 2002 ZR2 4x4 to restore. It’s my Time Machine back to those days lol.
That 4.3 they Pat and Frankie built would be a whole lot of fun in that Van. Too bad finding one in halfway decent shape today is almost impossible. Only ones I see around here were work vans and beat to death.
maybe not, but realistically, all they did was give it an air filter upgrade and an exhaust and reprogrammed the ECU and to get 12 HP over their base run is actually not bad. those 4.3 V6 can make good power if done right
So apparently you've never seen horsepower TV. They absolutely love to spend 80 grand to make 12 horsepower. P.s. this is a later edition, I pulled that 12 horsepower out of my ass before I even watched one second of the video, what a riot I've just seen enough of this show that I know their gaines are pathetic
Wasnt a scam.....they showed big expensive builds as well as simple upgrades anyone could do.... But everyone likes to whine and complain about these shows apparently 😂😂😂😂
17 rear wheel horsepower, that’s not bad on a stock vehicle. Everyone is spoiled these days getting 200hp tuning diesels and turbo cars, that’s how it was back then. That’s over 10% rwhp increase, that’s a great improvement.
A greater than 10% gain in horsepower at the wheels for about a thousand bucks is awesome. If you wanted to tell the world you've never wrenched on a car, you could have just said that.
