@ 4:40 what's with the focus on the very normal diplomatic term "redouble our efforts"? He wasn't even using that term to try to obfuscate......obviously it doesn't mean "double the number of" phone calls or letters or offers. And just as obviously he's not going to go into detail of their operations/ diplomatic strategies in public. It's weird defending a government spokesman, and it's so weird how different this press conference is to the usual White House press briefings.

I dunno man, some of that is just the common style of most diplomats & Foreign Office Civil Servants. But more importantly he kinda seems much more forthright than KJP or any White House press briefing of the last 4 years. If KJP was doing it, or if it was directly related to Biden, it'd just be constant word salad and if Kamala gets in it'd probably be a described as a sad death of an “austere religious scholar”
