Harrison would replace Yoko and Shears could go back to being just Paul, who was the richest of his personas. This all went smoothly, but Campbell still had one persona left: Maharishi. So he did what he does best and retired and died two weeks later. And don’t even get me started on the truth about what happened in Toronto. The reason, beside the lyrics and his voice, was that Double Fantasy was released 3 weeks before his death. "I can hardly wait to see you come of age", this Song, watching the wheels, give you a different feeling when you know how his life ended

I was also 11 years when John Lennon was killed. That night I had to go and perform in a choir concert and I would have rather have stayed home and watch all the news about John Lennon. That night I had to sing Christmas carols and put on a brave front. We truly lost a legend and a musical genius.

I still remember hearing the announcement of his death on the radio while I was driving so sad even 40 years later.

An early version said, "The time has come the Walrus..." John wanted to hang out and work with Paul again. Several people have mentioned this.

The house by the coast is on Shingle Street in Suffolk. A place, locally, loved by my Mum, my Dad and myself. My Mum, seven years ago, died of Multiple Sclerosis and approximately a year ago we put my Mums ashes out to rest in the sea, at Shingle Street. The place where she felt happy. It’s a most gorgeous setting. And amusing that should be the place chosen for where, seemingly, John Lennon chose to live. ❤️

I would have been amazing!

That would've been more amazing than the show Queen did. If Led Zeppelin would've let Jason Bonham on the drums that day instead of Phil Collins, their show wouldn't have been the disaster that it was. Phil is a good drummer, but when you have to keep 3/4 time or 4/4 time while the rest is playing 9/12 time, it's hard. Phil didn't have that capability. Jason knows his father's music front to back. Oh well, hindsight. But, The Beatles together for Live Aid would've been amazing. I wish Paul and Ringo would collaborate with Dhani and Julian just once. I think Dhani would do it, but talking Julian into it would be difficult.
