Been rewatching Roulette from the beginning and it's crazy that this series that's been going for nearly 2 years is ending next week. Looking forward to the finale and whatever else you have cooking up afterwards.
That would just take so many episodes to get through, and a lot would just be "okay let's run this awful pack again I guess" followed by a totally one-sided set
@FishFosh I mean it's one way to milk a series and it's not like the same pack wil get chosen back to back to back until the very end at whoch point changes can be made and this system does mean some shit packs can highroll and just be blowouts.
I like the Tear mirror idea, but MBT won last week, and I was really looking forward to seeing him use both his spins just to end up on the 30 lost packs.
Ok, I NEED to know how the editors know all those meme clips to perfectly fit in every episode, there is no way they actually watched AND remembered all those clips by themselves.
@brandonsolis6911 or 10 of the secret pack that's associated with the archetype. So, for instance, if you roll the Utopia structure, you get ten of the Onomat secret pack.
6:59 It's the exact same way with the infernoids. At the surface they seem like badass demon robots but when you zoom in they're barely functioning chicken kaijus
glossy upgrade is actually represented by utopia turning up to poke the pack. the yellow glow means it has higher pullrate for ur/sr, so doug is incorrect here. but also higher pullrate =/= holo all the time, just most of the time.
I really don't understand why you wouldn't play the tear cards, not on a "making a deck better" basis but on a "GET FUCKED JOSEPH LOOK AT WHAT I PULLED" kinda deal. Y'know?
Personally I prefer the playable deck he went with but hard poly into Kitkalos with a 3 card combo with nothing in the deck to mill would have been the funniest way to throw.
Man, for a Mermail/Tearlament Showdown, this ended being more exciting than I anticipated with mostly the Mermail cards as the focus. Crazy how Doug, even with 1 copy of most of the Tearlaments Core cards, didn’t pull a common rarity Havnis. If he had Havnis, then it would’ve been in Doug’s favor since he had some more powerful removal and starters. As soon as MBT pulled Scheiren, Havnis, and Rukallos, I knew those can literally carry by themselves since he crafted Kitkallos. The mermails are a bit of a sleeper under the right circumstances. Nice touch of including Little Mermaid clips throughout the video. Excited for the 2 Year Roulette finale next time!
If the pack it would go up against wasn't Mermail+Tear and was a really bad pack instead, absolutely. But as it stands, it would just have been a slaughter.
Well you need to have 2 level 6s or 2 3s if you have engine do the Standart vaylantz combo and then opponements standby you dump with Beatrice any fllodgate you have or a card that helps with it and the rest is up to you. It can play through ash imperm and nib but not belle.
Dougs Tear pulls were so close to insane, one Havnis and it was so over, make kit to search, get milling with the tear kash, make Kaleido for the spin, but with zero way to fuse, theres no good point
It wasn't the Tear Mirror I expected, but thank you Doug for throwing those 30 Lost Packs in the trash where they belonged. It would have been a complete coin-flip as to who was going to get completely and unfairly smacked down without even a chance otherwise. Good episode, looking forward to the finale. Cheers!
You guys should do like an all star special where all the cards who won in roulette are put on a wheel and go up against each other. You can also do the same for all the decks that lost would be a cool way to help make the series go longer and have the best and worst ones battle it out between each other.
Rush duels did the combination of Spellcaster+warrior called "Magical Knight" or Fairy+warrior called "Celestial warrior" and other stuff like Cyborg, High dragon, Omega Psychic which were transcended types. The combination types would count as both, but have Spells and traps that only work with them
Wish Doug just agreed to change the rules with MBT and do unlimited + they both get Merrli or something like that. Sad Doug had such good Tear pulls only to not play them. We missed out on this one.
I thought for a while I had the pattern figured out for Mermails: the level 7s are Sea Serpent, the level 4s are Fish and the level 3s are Aqua. ... but for some reason, Abyssteus and Abyssbalaen are Aqua, the rank 7 is Aqua, and the rank 3 is Sea Serpent. This is depressing.
You know I keep rereading Lemuria and I just don't see how Doug's math is adding up to a rank 8 or 12. Wouldn't 2 level 4s just become 2 level 6s and 3 level 4s just become level 7s (assuming every level 4 is a water and thats all you control)? Like it says "Equal to the # of Water monsters you control" I'm not crazy am I? Sometimes the way Yugioh cards read and the way they actually work out just boggles my mind.
What the hell is the fusion monster on the left (8:38)? Transcendosaurus Gigantozowler? That honestly looks fan-made. A level 12 fusion monster that's just Baby Cerasaurus-support?
Which 3 Tear? There are tons. But yes had he had any Havnis he woulda just steamrolled. Which made it peak comedy that him not gettin Common Havnis invalidated all other Tear Pulls
I opened a 10 set of this pack yesterday that blew me away. It was only 3 UR, but the fact I pulled my second alt art ELDLICH in the tear pack lol. Didn't even know you could get the alt arts out of pack.
I don't know if this is completely obvious and everyone else noticed it but it took me a while to see it. You know that joke about mermaids where normally the fish part is the bottom and human part is the top but then how do you mate with them so you need the top half to be fish and the bottom half to be human? The low level mermails are bottom half fish, top half human. The high level ones are bottom half human and top half fish.
What if they did an episode where all of their respective Royal Rares were put onto a wheel, and they had to go into the pack that corresponds to that Royal for 20 packs. Would that be an interesting episode?
