Hard to explain. It took me awhile to get it. It always looked funny when I did it. Try shifting your body weight a little more. And you have to pop your foot a bit. The movement is pretty jerky.
love your videos keep them coming. I love the crosses AND the dog, it is cool. If this video is three years old then you must be really, really good now.
@lilballer2716 It is all personal preference. I like skating with my skates loose. I keep them so loose that I just slip them on and off. I can't remember the last time I actually tied my skates lol. Skating with them tight is a bit easier does not take as much control or balance same with truck settings. Skating with them loose takes some getting used to but I think it opens up more things that you can do.
Your videos are amazing. Definitely helped me solidify roller skating being a part of my life. Recently tried my hand at videos and freestyle, continuous single take, music videos. check em out if you got a few minutes.
I could benefit from a vid that lists simple balancing maneuvers to practice that are needed to preform these skate moves. like feel comfortable skateing backwards, balance on front wheels, stand on one heel and one toe... idk where to start so I just flail around mostly. you mention in each video some things to feel comfortable doing before attempting each trick, it would be cool to have all of the simple things to practice in one vid. like a prerequisite to jam skating. keep being awesome :)
@JamSkateAddiction hey, i wanted to know what type of skates are better to use. jam skates or artistic skates. ive seen people using both and they seem to be able to do the same things on both types of skates. i know the two types of skates look different and i also know what the differences between the two skates are. i jus wanted to know what type is better use. i am planning to buy some skates very soon and need tips on what type to buy and what brand.
@monteleonee Yea I am more into smooth movements that go into pauses and snaps. You know what I mean? Confusing to explain. MJ and Usher inspire me if that explains anything lol. :D Yea I would like to go just to hang out with everyone. I will be at Summer Jam this year though.
@T3cH0893 Nah was not planned. I was just practicing some stuff. I guess you could say I was freestyling but I was doing the same things over and over again because it is kinda sloppy. I was trying to come up with some stuff and just work on some musicality.
Can you tell me what wheels that you use I just bought some Vanilla Curves (I'm so excited and can't wait to get em) but your wheel really match well with the skates and I wanted to know what brand and model they are? btw love your vids
I'm sorry to hear that. I have noticed that you are on Southernskater and I thought you were still skating even with your busy life. I'm just geting back into it after some years off, don't let that happen to you!!
Any tips on how you do what you do around 1:20-1:22 looks like youre on your two inside toes going sideways but its too quick to see. I see it done alot but never quite slow enough to figure out
Your style looks pretty crisp and smooth. I'd love to skate with you sometime! You should consider coming to a comp sometime, even if you don't compete it's an extremely awesome experience.
nice footwork, but what is that move called and how do you do it between 2:20-2:24? its preety sweet but no matter how many times i watch this video i still don't know how you do it.
@famousnumber5 An iceberg? That slide thing? Find the sweet spot on the two wheels. You have to ride the edge of them. I am going to be doing a video of this soon.
@lilizzy9 Lol thank you. Ha ha yea I know what you mean there are several of those around here. Little punk kids trying to show off and getting in the way.
Hahaha you're really good, I'm in love and I'm a girl lmaoooo. Can you do a small tutorial on how to power slide?:| ij ust started and no one can explain it
Hello! at 0.15 - 0.18 some call that the Downtown? I know it's a basic move for jam skating but I'm not sure of the name of that move to search for tutorials on that move. Do you have a tutorial on that move or know someone that does teach this move? Thank you! Greg
