You spreading crushed rock reminds me of the time we did the same and one of the truck loads of rock contained a whole family of box turtles. My brother my father and I were tossing turtles out of the way so they wouldn't get smooshed. The barn kitties didn't know what to think about that. They were checking all of that action out.

I just love the sounds, Pete, of when you took us with you on the MD road trip today!!! Those moments sent me back over 50 years to our farm days in Minnesota when Dad would allow me to ride with him on our Farmall Super M. The engine and transmission sounds were priceless as you accelerated into road gear!! Blessings to you for letting us be part of your farm family with these videos!!! ;o)

Nothing more pleasing than getting gravel or stone on a road that needs the dirt road covered. I know it's called stone, but folks around here say they had their driveway graveled, when it's talked about. The Farmall MD is really looking nice, great job on it Pete. Pete and Hillary, I really enjoy your channel as we grew up on a farm in central Illinois and before we retired from the farm we too raised beef, pigs and chickens as well as a variety of animals. Our friends called us the Funny Farm. Watching today’s video and when you removed the dual wheel hub and it was from M&W Gear in Gibson City it brought back memories as we used a lot of their products. We now live about 40 miles south of there in the small town of Villa Grove, Illinois . I especially enjoy your Sunday videos bringing what’s really important to everyone’s mind. We get to tied up in collecting things that amount to basically nothing in the real world. A friend told me once that he’s never seen a u-haul behind a hearse. Wishing you and your family a happy and fruitful life. Lee and Carolyn Bretzlaff

Hi. You asked for feedback about what kinds of videos we would enjoy watching. The mechanical ones, for me, are not so much entertaining. The day in the life stuff-I love; particularly, I love the videos showcasing the animals and their quirky behavior. I love to see the work-a-day stuff on the farm like today’s feature of unusual jobs you and Hillary take care of on the farm. I really like those that show things like preparing and going to market-interacting with customers and fellow sellers; it makes me feel like I got to go along! I love when you showcase particular animals such as the two bulls and their personal competition for the ladies’ attention. I wouldn’t mind seeing some of the stuff that goes on inside the house, mainly cooking and/or canning or other food preservation techniques.

I know how much time went into it that we didn't see. what we seen wasn't even the tip of the iceberg. and the "peepers" are coming along good too! you're right they grow fast!. I so enjoy your videos...always make me smile...i was a dirt farmers daughter from extreme Eastern Ks, we were organic farmers but i didn't even know what that meant back in the day. We pulled cockleburs and sunflower weeds by hand, lot of us kids. Slave labor for sure. We had a John Deere B, dad did all the overhauling, we made haystacks if the old old stationary baler was broken. The one where you sat and twisted wire by hand...yea we did. The hay stacks us kids had to jump and smash the itchy hay down. We also had an Alis Chamber tractor, think it is spelled correctly. Later got a Case think it was? Put hay up in the barn by a rope and the big pully thing. This was all in the 50s mostly. No running water and coal for heat...but it is nice to see your farm and your love of your animals and equipment! Thanks...Happy Sunday!

I love the “just hanging out with Pete getting stuff done” videos. Please understand that many of us work desk jobs where we listen to corporate buzzwords in endless meetings as leaders say things their actions belie, and we create deliverables that don’t really matter, with no sense of the larger picture, which is not shared with us. Just hanging out with you as you make measurable progress on tangible and necessary things is an antidote to our corporate meaninglessness. Thanks for letting us spend time with you.
