This is actually quite dangerous, and I see that the politicians don't realize it. For those that also don't realize it, this is what a violation of the social contract looks like. Said contract is a voluntary surrender of specific actions to the state, for the state doing specific things (police, law, stabilizing order, etc.) for the public. When people realize that the state no longer honors it, people will do what they have to. Then people will form groups to do it for others. This is the type of thing that leads to political leaders hanging by street lamps, or the full collapse of a country in the end.

I've been in the back of an Ambulance as a heart patient, my desire to be in A+E in the back of those vehicles is beyond compare. I'm happy to say that after catheter ablation my heart issues went away. These people need dragging out of the roads by force as they can cost lives, the stresses faced by Blue light patients is already high, to have to put up with these idiots as well should be illegal, full stop.

They’ve been allowed to do this by the police and courts. They should be given a long sentence to focus their minds. It’s alright saying the ambulance could go around, how long was it delayed. With a heart attack or stroke seconds count. If a car ploughed into the idiots, and an ambulance couldn’t get through to help them, I’d look at that as being the best case of karma I’ve ever heard.

It's like they're doing emergency services a favour by showing them the "quickest" way around the problem they themselves are causing. It isn't actually the quickest route though, is it? What about that ambulance that gets stuck in a tailback? What about that ambulance with the emergency medic rushing to a heart attack victim or the traffic accident that has to take a route that may be 2 or 3 miles longer? I could go on all day. These people see us as acceptable casualties in their little rebellion. They don't really care if someone dies because they're so convinced they're right that we're seen as acceptable collateral damage.

If you disrupt a plane in flight or intimidate the crew there are heavy fines and/or possible jail terms awaiting you. The same should be on the statute books for emergency service vehicles and their crews.
