Absolutely... At 1:00 , choking up helps. "My" issue was in trying to raise the cue . My stroke arm when raising the cue, pulled me off line ( trying to stop /draw). I saw a video with Jeanette Lee. She , choked up on the cue, but also put her head a bit forward. Especially , on long rail shots this seemed to help .
One of the biggest improvements I've had with rail shots is changing to a 11.75 shaft and Kamui tip. So much smaller than typical 13's and allows you to hit more of the ball.
On 90 percent of my shots I end my eye pattern focused on the object ball last. This type of shot falls into the other 10 of shot where I look at the cue ball last. It drastically reduces the chance of not hitting the cue ball where you intend to. Hope this helps someome.
Totally. Because your cue isn’t level. Best thing you can do is avoid English in this case and just keep the shot simple. Sometimes you just need to make sure you make the ball.
You still have to hit down on the ball. Common mistake is a straight follow through with a elbow drop allowing the tip of the cue stick to pass over the top of the ball traping the cue ball underneath the ferrule or shaft I've seen this happen so many times.
Yo gamgster till you play on a table with a small white and you literally can't even shoot it because its hidden in a rail only africanpool players can relate
