Just Think About It

Song written by Brianna Ellis, here's the story behind it in her words:
It may sound crazy to you, but this is one of my favorite songs because my sweet Saviour sang this song straight into my heart in the middle of a dark, sorrowful night after I’d poured my tears out to Him.
We were at a meeting in Poplarville, Mississippi at the time in September, 2020, and my heart was very broken.
A family that I knew was at this meeting, and their 16 year old daughter had recently passed away. We had been there together at this meeting before, and seeing her parents there without her for the first time completely crushed me. I knew that the unimaginable depths of pain in her parents’ eyes was far beyond my comprehension.
While at this same meeting, we kept receiving bad news from home, telling us that some of our dearly loved church members had passed away from Covid. It seemed like nearly every day, we received the dreaded news of another death. So many people that I knew were passing away all around the country during this time, and I so longed to go and wrap my arms around their precious loved ones and comfort them. However, they were so far from my reach and really, what could I do to help them in this hopeless state?
One night as I lay in bed, I was so upset and afraid that there was nothing I could do but cry out to the Lord. He didn’t leave me alone in this dark place! That precious night the peace that passeth all understanding overwhelmed my heart as the sweet spirit of God filled the room. Believe it or not, God began to sing this song, “Just Think About It,” to me as I thought about His sweet Words found in Philippians 4:8 and 1 Corinthians 13:12: “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things….
For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.” As my precious Lord sang this new song into my soul, that sorrowful night turned into a glad, peaceful one! All my fears were gone, and my hope was renewed!
