Really good short this and well acted and I love a short that gets me wanting to discuss it. So well done. I'm guessing the moral of the story is better to leave things in the past then rekindle them cause they never live up to the expectations you put on them. Well that's what I got from it lol. Basically Emma and Sky were probably tight back in the day (I have another Theory but I leave that to the end). Emma hasn't seen Sky in a while and probably that opening scene on the beach before Emma left to live somewhere else. Maybe they kept in touch on semi regular basis. Emma probably is feeling down in the dumps a bit and is having tinge for her old hometown and her friend Sky, and thinks maybe going to visit her might be cool and that Sky might be over the moon to see her. And that they spend the day together and chat about the past and have a good time. Then Sky shows up. And something just feels odd and off about her. Her mind seems elsewhere. Everything in their short chat is about Sky meeting up with this new guy and the party. Emma seems to be inconvenience to Sky. Even Sky's inviting her to tag along to the party seems like really she's hoping she says NO and just goes home. And she's kind of relived when she leaves Emma off at the train station. You can see how heartbroken Emma is by the whole situation and she feels like kind of Embarrassed by the whole thing and kind of ruins probably one of her only happiest memories she has. Sky could be looked at as being a bit of dick to Emma. And that's what I felt watching this the first time. With my second watch, I get the feeling this is a case of one friend (Emma) who's moved out of town but besides her ex boyfriend probably hasn't made friends and is a bit lonely and expects to go back to her hometown and have Emma waiting there to pick up where they left off. But Sky has probably stayed and made new friends and got herself a boyfriend and she doesn't wish Emma any ill will and hopes she's happy but she doesn't hold onto their friendship the same way Emma does. I do feel bad for Emma though at the end, just sucks when a friendship you hold dear isn't felt the same way. Just one thing, it felt a bit ambiguous on this side of things but I felt Emma/Sky were slightly more then friends in the past. And that Emma went back home to kind of rekindle a past romance with Sky. Maybe I'm way off but I got that vibe especially on my first watch,
