Now I’m thinking about the Simpsons episode about Yolo. For that money and what older a scotch is going for now I would’ve paid for that 33-year-old sample too. Thanks for sharing now. I’m really kicking myself for not buying the 23 year old when it was $280 and my local Total Wine.
Love the Simpsons! Doh! Prices are really getting crazy stupid imo…. Don’t get me started 😳🤩 Honestly though…. At the end of the day it’s just whisky 😇 Cheers 🥃
You got a paws up from me on this review! Did this whisky remind you of Compass Box Vellichor at all? When I hear old leather & book store I think of Vellichor. Cheers!
Are you excited about those new Craigellachie oloroso bottlings? I recently tried the 13yo first time it was very good in my opinion I need to buy more from Craigellachie myself :)
Craigellachie 13 is thee best bang for buck integrity single malt imo . Haven’t seen the new Oloroso yet but I will definitely try if it I find it. Cheers 🥃
John what a magnificent dram to review!! The Craigellachie 33 sounds absolutely delicious and so spectacular! I love the 23 and what a special treat to get a chance to have a sample of the Craigellachie 33! I am so happy you splurged! You deserve it! Lovely video! Thank you so much!! Cheers!!
Hello! I have an opportunity to buy 2 bottles of Craigellachie 33 for ~$1200 each at my local shop (new with original cylinder boxes). I am very tempted to buy them and I wanted to know what your opinion was. Thank you!
Sometimes you have to pull the trigger on things you love! Glad you enjoyed it John. My experience is older single malts rarely warrant their price difference to their younger counterparts. Thank God for samples so we can have a glimpse in to these whiskies but I'd be very skeptical of anything above 30. Cheers John 🥃
