I am a chief engineer and served anglo eastern for 16 years. Now no longer in anglo-eastern,thank god, these tactics are done (suicide) to prevent insurance claims...Stay strong... Peace be with you and family..

Hello my self Shivam jha sailing as a 2nd officer in chemical tanker let me tell you one thing ,once a cadet become an officer he goes through so many hardles in his life and i can relate easily that process is very difficult and challenging for youngsters so that he will be mentally and physically 100% fit to perform there respective duties and responsibilities,So it’s very hard to see these type of excuses from company,i really don’t no the truth but there is something that must be share with shivam parents By the company,see they lost there child but the thing is that every children is real hero for there parents so they don’t want to accept that shivam looses his life because he fails to handle the pressure.if any one know any thing about shivam,Please say the truth to his family it’s really means allot for them…..🙏

Hi Aanchal , I'm so sorry to hear about your brother. Was he a member of MUI? Try and connect with MUI and ask them for help. You will need to get s much support as possible, from politicians , from MEA , from fellow mariners, ita not easy , buy b strong and don't give up.

Anglo eastern is full of selfish and rubbish ppl, I was in Anglo for 5 yrs. I have faced lot of harrassment and torture from senior management while I was a junior officer. I faught with them and later I was only removed from company when these ppl made a complaint against me as they could not harm me onboard. After joining second company I found out that company is 1000 times better than aesm, incidents like these happen very often in aesm due to bad masters and their groups.

So sorry for your loss. Even if it was a suicide because of work pressure I would consider it as a murder. You should talk to the crew members and specifically ask about the behavior of Senior officers, especially Captain, with junior officers. Captain harassing junior mates is not uncommon on-board Indian ships. Feel free to contact if you need help.

Investigate with captain of that ship take crew list of ship investigate every crew on ship master responsible for crew problems on board

When sm1 suicide onboard there are no any compensation goes to their family. But in a matter of an accidents it is.... Lot of investigations, ship could be off hire, time, money, court, impact on business, many losses gives the reason to manipulate with few of evidence. putting dollars in greedy people is the easiest and short process to complete and come out of situations being the best way to these reputed companies. But mam believe me... Apart from shivams case.. There are people onboard working with depressions..personal or financial or onboard relation, Could be reason.

3/4 years ago same kind of incident happened on lpg carrier of Anglo eastern. ETO was missing from ship.

Har ek ship m suicide isliye hoti hai ku ki agar murder ya accident hua to company ki reputation gir jaye gi or ye log apni reputation bachne k liye kuch bhi kr sakte hai matlab kuch bhi....

It is highly possible that they convert an accident into a suicide to save themselves. Please speak to the rest of the crew when possible specially deck crew and ABs . May be the crew kept quite as they were in a fear of losing their job but once they finish their contract they can help you in this matter. Also please mention the name of Captain and chief officer if it’s not a problem. Companies can do such things for their fake reputations. May the soul rest in peace and god gives your family the strength to face such a drastic loss.

There is something fishy going on I am a Fourth Engineer and 3rd officer the closest Rank with I can hangout I know they have some work Load and Pressure But itna bhi nhi ki Suicide karle Its something fishy going on.... The best thing to do confront his co-workers especially his Watchkeeper AB.

This is a well planned game played by company and captain of the ship... Case is created like suiside ..you should contact with the flag state and MUI ..captain of ship and crew of the ship one by one.. They played game to save compensation money..

My friend was trying to tell you truth about things as he is also in merchant navy, also was opposing both of sins and sunil as they were trying to confuse with heavy terms. But sins blocked him, he also asked to add. Half of the things were just BS.

Dear sister.. As a sailing onboard staff, its shows clearly its not a suside.. No one will go to bow thruster room without permission of officer on watch. Most of the ship not allowed to go alone in bow thruster room. If you really want to go then you must inform to officer on watch & keep communicate with walky-talkey. Bow thruster room is enclosed space & also have water tight Doors which always closed during sailing. These water tight Doors have proximity sensors, if some one open these Doors duty officer on watch come to know that these Door opened.. 3rd officer dont have any job in bow thruster room.. Am dame sure that onboard crew knew something & off course they hiding bcoz of company threatening.. I don't know why DG shipping kept quit in this matter..

You shud jst take out d name of captain Nd his signoff date Nd make a police cmplain against the captaion of sexually harassing you etc etc Nd let him proove tht he didn't Dont let him sail... Do same thng with suprident toooo. Indian system is full of loop holes

merchant Navy job bahot bulshit hai specially onboard superiors like captain CHF. Mate they push and push hard and hard, harrasment bullying abusing third class job hai ye jo superiors hain na ye gadhe sochte hain ship owner hai jitna bolu Kam hai

The delay in shipping is normal, there may be many reasons for delay, and fracture are also common in suicide cases. Need a solid investigation both side, Family friends love affair etc also must be investigated. Hope Truth will prevail with time. After listening to your story, the world Need to hear other side of story.

I don’t think ANGLO EASTERN IS AT FAULT !!!!!! BECOZ I have seen CADETS WORKING LIKE SLAVE IN ANGLO !!!!! First cadets need to have some self respect and then EXPECT RESPECT FROM COMPANIES!!!!!!!
