Such a shame that Gunn destroyed DC. I will not pay to see his junk. Snyder is a genius and would have only made DC better and better, what a shame the brass care more about politics than fans. We can only hope Netflix can see this as a huge opportunity.
I just had another run of MOS, BVS, and JL. Regardless of the fact that these movies could be considered "old" I think they put up the quality bar very high. As bad as some things are in MOS and BVS are not even close how bad the "Flash" movie turned out to be. I wont be diving into the details because that is not the case here. Hell, even as much as the new "Batman" movie was with pattinson I dont see him playing a role in Snyderverse. Not to mention he does not even fill the shoes of Bale's performance. I hope Im wrong but it makes me sad that this saga was terminated. I cannot express enough how good these movie are. The script, action, actors (Rusell Crow performance as Supe's Father, magnificent act) feels while watching it even after all these years, and despite the fact, that I have seen it all at least twice before. The darkness, the humor, the values, its all there. This is an overview of someone who really did not care much for the Batman/Superman verse through the past years. I really picked up my interest with Bale's Trilogy. Of course I was a big fan of 89's Batman. I was even the lucky one too see it air in the Cinema while I was about 10 years old. But I genuinely sunk into Superman after seeing Man of Steal. Batman vs Superman was a different take, and it was OK'ish, some scenes did gave me goosebumps and than the 3.5H Justice League dropped, and I loved it. Damn, for a movie 3.5H long, that keeps you engaged and wanting more. I cant really honestly say, that whatever came after that was as good as all this. As much as I like and enjoy Dwayne Johnson, and his other movies performance (specially Fast and Furious movies - except for the last), and as much as I enjoyed playing Black Adam in Injustice 2 game, I will never see that movie again. I'd might show it to my 15 year old son, but thats it. Something is going terribly wrong with Hollywood, and its everywhere. We are left with nothing. Snyderverse is gone, Ironman saga and Avengers is over. I cant express enough how bad the future of super heros looks for the upcoming generation.
Hopefully, Ben Affleck has no hand in the DCU production or acting role. Worst Batman ever we should’ve learned that from his role as daredevil come on people you’re gonna have to do a lot better than Ben Affleck and getting rid of Henry Cavill stupid choices all around. The DCU universe needs to have a darker twist and direct competition with marvel, but as it stands, the DCU, in comparison looks weak and a stumbling future ahead of it if things continue in the direction they’re going….. it’ll just be RIP to the DCU💀
