It's been a thing long before this happend. When the justice league encountered thier opposites it was revealed that the death of the flash caused a ripple effect that turned them and thier form of justice inside out. That or the death of Louis by the hand of the joker.

⁠@@bobobadbadare you talking about injustice? Sounds like you’ve got two stories mixed up. Injustice and Crisis on infinite earths, what this animation is based off. In crisis Barry dies. In injustice (the comic) Flash doesn’t die (he does in the animated movie though)

Dude 1) this is part 1 out of 3 that all came out 2) this isnt the final scene of the movie, after this (spoiler alert) the machines worked and the multiverse was saved 3) a new problem arises in part 2 and 3

@thebatcaveentertainment4995 exactly, infinite earths are being destroyed by a practically infinite "antivirus", it literally took everything in their power to just kill one, then much much more just arrive and start destroying more earths. They basically had no choice

This Crisis didn’t feel earned because they were already building to it from the start. If we know everything’s gonna die why get invested? The CW’s Crisis was built up much better, even if the execution varied.

We never got an explanation as to why flash was being thrown from time to time and reality to reality... And he just seemed to be fine with it, he'd shown up in a new place and just went about his day... It was boring
