thats cause it is. stuffs expensive and americans tend to not like places that arent america so we dont get the bulk of overseas tourists needed for capital
@@jjperceval it’s not that we don’t like it it’s that 80% of us can’t afford to travel overseas. Many people in this country have never traveled outside their state or even seen the ocean, all because they can’t afford it. And why don’t you blame the countless other countries who don’t want to visit this cheap place?
@@sammypandaThey're giving Scooby Doo a proper upgrade this time. And the Wizard Of Oz area looks great. Dark Rides need indoor space and there's just not much room at Movie World. The obvious choice would be to remove that Minicars crap and bring back another Looney Tunes dark ride.
Justice League: Battle for Metropolis is so much better. I’ll give them credit for making physical sets and figures rather than plywood cut-outs like the Boo Blasters rides, and this ride does have more figures than the Six Flags rides, but they are poorly done. The video screens seem to be used randomly and there is no effort to integrate them into the sets as they did with the Six Flags rides. The static ride conveyance also makes this ride less exciting.
I like that this ride had the idea to use starting a lot! It may not be the best looking ride but the concept was there and I think if universal studios was able to get the rights to dc they can make this a lot more fleshed out
I'm a local. The upkeep on this lately has been ATROCIOUS. The screen at 01:49 for example has been down for months. The guns don't even work on most of the seats. I'm honestly surprised they're still operating it. It's a shame as it's actually a pretty well themed ride for a small park (this video doesn't do it justice, for example 02:42 is really impressive in person). This walked so the Six Flags Justice Leagues could run.
Ngl but when it first opened it was way much better the animatronics was functional the guns was working and the screen works but im glad they are having another operation.
@@Twrk.bladez It was much better when it originally opened! The maintenance has now been completed and the ride is in a much better state now. Still not perfect, but it's not an embarrassment like in this video.
This is wonderfully filmed, but wow...not a lot to this ride. Too many long stretches of nothing. I would love to watch the Cyborg animatronic for a while. He looked impressive!
@@Creativekylie the villian is starro which is a giant starfish with starfish spores that attach to peoples faces. hes the big bad in the latest suicide squad movie. the ride changes starro himself though to be an orc looking dude with a spore on his chest
OMG I did not know this was a real ride. Someone recreated it in Planet Coaster and I thought it was just a themed ride but they actually made a replica....
This ride has so much potential but the only thing that is good is the entrance and the lineup area and super girls animatronic they really need to update this ride and add more animatronics such as Wonder Woman and maybe even re theme it so maybe it’s like the legion of doom with like more villans in it such as catwoman poison ivy and Harley Quinn
Considering this came out during DC's New 52 years, and how badly all of that turned out, I feel like this ride can be forgiven. It never had a chance 😅
I would like to point out, this replaced one of the best Batman rides/ ride movie world had. at the beginning it was good when it first opened but now no one really rides it and is overshadowed by the hyper coaster
@@sammypandapark just doesn't have enough space. The obvious choice would be to remove the Minicars crap and put a new Looney Tunes dark ride in where the old river ride was. Currently their focus is on building the Wizard Of Oz area, which looks amazing but yeah has two rollercoasters mainly. Good news is they're giving Scooby-Doo a proper upgrade this time around. Hopefully the animatronics return.
Movie World Australia should definitely just stick to thrill rides and rollercoasters. They are basically a Six Flags type of park anyways and not a Disney/Universal type of theme park.
i disagree, the old batman one here and the old scooby doo coaster used to be wonderful, when they're done right they are like far better than thrill rides.. i think something changed in their management or workflow and now they just can't pull it off anymore. I'd rather they went back to whatever management they used to have and produce good coasters as well as good dark rides (also they rly shudnt continue with the carnival types of rides like the doomsday destroyer eww)
I think you are right. I have seen video of this before and there is one fairly good effect where projected Green Lantern levitates a physical door open for the car before it crashes into it. (If only the screen edges were blended into the scene a little better, but it’s better than all of the other screens just hanging in open space.). The video apparently ends before reaching the unload as well.
@@ThemeParkOgre It is so sad that parks don’t maintain their dark rides. I was at Six Flags St. Louis earlier this week and none of the physical effects were working in Justice League. They have also dropped the 3D effect.
Correct. So much isn't working at the moment, and this appears to be a recent development. Around 90% of the animatronics aren't working at all or aren't working properly. Three of the main gameplay screens are blank. The Green Lantern projection isn't working. The audio isn't working in the spaceship scene.
no this has been around for ages, unfortunately gold coast movie world's dark ride reputation has tanked.. they ruined the scooby dark ride as well recently but gutting it from 90% of it's character and replacing it with screens and i think they tried to do some holo stuff and it just doesn't work
I know what happened dc comics directly made a deal with six flags to use their characters for rides like marvel did for universal and Disney. The other parks have to go through Warner entertainment to get licensing deals to get what they want. It’s just how it is. It’s how we got the Harley Quinn coaster before it broke. It’s a win all around as the park get a ride and IP they can use for a set number of years before replacing the ride if needed. The justice league rides barely break down and just need repair of animatronics every few months as it’s mostly screen based shooting. There’s a reason it stays intact. Harley Quinn’s coaster was a nightmare as it constantly was being repaired or something wasn’t right and was replaced by the joker swing ride. A Wonder Woman coaster is going in at a few six flags.
In my opinion I think this ride should be closed and replace with something new. The guns were not working, most of the animatronics are broken and it’s pretty boring ride. I’m an Australian and I love this park, but I just have to be honest about this ride. (And yes I know it’s an old ride)
First things first, they need to get rid of the Minicars ride and build a new Looney Tunes dark ride. There's no real major attraction in the Kids WB area after they got rid of the river ride.
This has to be one of the worst attractions out there. At least Superstar Limo had things to look at. This is almost all empty corridors with the same bland "enemy star" on everything but the floor.
This looks like something at one of those pier side, low budget carnivals.. I don't care about this superhero franchise so actually it's probably even worse. WTH... 🤡💩
