Pft. You really think the judges sit down and think up what songs their team should sing? It’s all the creative team on the show. They probably get told a on the same day they then tell the contestants
To think they both were only 1 CHAIR TURNS to give us one of the BEST BATTLES THIS SEASON SO FAR!!! It was truly remarkable and Gwen knows how to put Battles together that give us the goods! SO AMAZING AND INCREDIBLE! They both deserved it soooo much congrats to the both of you guys!!!!
That’s true! Gwen always give the best battles. It’s ironic how most artists in her team are only 1-2 chair turns but their growth is evident as early as the battle rounds.
I was part of The Voice live audience and everyone was standing up at the end of their battle for a good 20 seconds! People kept clapping and cheering them, they were amazing! I don’t know why they cut that part
@@tryonboyd3773 it's all the no talent loving gen Z Camila stans on here talking out the side of they face about people not being able to sing. 🤣🤣🤣 These are the people who invented mumble rap and think Lizzo can play a flute.
Gwen is so good at understanding what songs work for BOTH singers. It’s often harder to get it right for male vs female contestants but she always finds the right balance. Both were able to showcase their strengths and they both really did deserve to make it through. Destiny surprised me with those high notes and Justin really does have a great tone.
Destiny just didn’t do anything for me at first, and then she started belting and I was floored. WOW!! But even then I think Justin definitely deserved the win. He’s so freakin talented!
@@rutherford5247 EXACTLY! People acting like this was a duet not a BATTLE! She shined exactly how she was supposed to going against someone who is more trained than her. She won IMO
I knew Justin in highschool, literally one of the kindest, uplifting, humble individuals I have ever met during my time as an army brat floating school to school. He left a strong imprint out of all the people I’ve met. There are a few gems in the area I had met and he is most definitely one of them.
@@eveieteatoo He's my favorite. I think the only reason he was a one chair turn was because Blake and the young singer's teams were full, right? Legend will always get teased for not turning. Justin is my favorite this year. That would be amazing if he wins.
They had me ready to shout! Brought the drama & vocals. He adds so many lil tasteful runs & she found great places 2 shine with a very palatable tone & some piercing highs. They killed those last high notes. Great performance! - So You Wanna Be A Singer
@@vocaleditz9483 Idk. He is a force of nature. I'll take someone who can move me emotionally over someone who can sing a high note any day. BUT she really did give him a run. Glad she is staying.
@@vocaleditz9483 @1:53 he got me making faces and moving... his voice sings stories... she paired so great with him to make one of my favorite battles ever!
Their performance was fire 🔥 Gwen really knows how to put together the best battles we watch and give her artist songs that make both their voice shine Just amazing
This duet was incredible. My jaw literally drops every time, and I’ve rewatched it at least 10 times. Justin makes his flawless voice sound *effortless*, and Destiny NAILED those belting high notes!! It blew my mind how well they blended together, singing at the same time yet not overpowering each other-it just meshed SO. WELL!! And the bit of growl that Justin’s voice gets when he hits a certain register just makes me melt. So good. Here I am a month after hearing it for the first time, coming back to listen to it again, still in awe 😂 Gosh dang I wish The Voice would put these on Spotify 😭😭
Justin is just a prodigy, it's really gobsmacking just how long he could hold his notes and still sound so effortless without being too loud or ear-splitting. Destiny has worked a lot on her techniques and very much deserved the save, she was simply outstanding! 🎉
For me Justin was definitely the winner, but Destiny really made me waver when she started hitting her stride halfway thru! Her high notes were crazy, but Justin was right up there with her!
One question-- Has Mary J. Blige seen this? Wow..I saw it when it first aired on the show and had to come back and listen to this 10 more times! My gosh, both sang tremendously well.
Destiny surprised me in this performance. I really thought she had no chance against Justin especially after their coaching session but dang!! That girl can hit those soaring high notes without wavering!
Clearly the best battle of the night! A lot of heart and soul they both have in their voices, and it shows in that battle! Such a great song too by the way!
This was a very good battle, but for me, Justin won it hands down. He is mesmerising he's so talented, laser focused, and feels every word. I could see him winning the whole thing (if voting were just based on singers' talent, which we know it's not). His audition should have been a 4 chair turn, and I was suprised both Blake and John would have gone with Destiny. Thank goodness for Gwen.
I love the arrangement. I love their vocal choices. I love how they feed off of each other's energy. It's just an insane battle. I've replayed it 20 times already.
The simple fact that when they were singing at the same time and one’s voice didn’t overpower the other was phenomenal!!! Want to hear more of them together😭❤
Justin Aaron it is your time and you SANG that song son. One of my most favorite songs. Way to represent and put Junction City, KS on the map. God bless you! ❤🎉❤❤❤
He won that battle. Don’t know what’s wrong with John and Blake. They should have given the guy more credit. Standing out is one thing and Destiny was good but boy can Justin sang. He sang that song so good!!! Camilla and Gwen go for the singer not the performance. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍Great job choosing Justin as the winner Gwen. And Camilla.
Easily one of the best battles of all time and I have watched all but 2 seasons. But Justin's voice....that needs to be rewarded beyond just a battle victory.
Both of them were absolutely amazing! Destiny was going on a Beyonce approach since I couldn't help noticing the similar inspiration and Justin was just so powerful and I think John lost that chance of getting him in blinds😅
This was a STUNNING performance. They've improved so much since the blinds. Ya'll deserved a standing ovation from all the judges. I am shocked at that power!!
