I appreciate How Justin actually acknowledges what the whole point of the movie is about, in Blakes press interviews she doesn't even mention domestic violence once

I honest to god believe justin isn't that morally sound. In comparision to the hollycouple, sure ,but my Unpopular opinion is why was this man going around for 2 yrs trying to make a movie out of a book that glamorizes ab*se!?! Evn with so many women raising alarm about the books impact on impressionable mind ever since. It seems he is now trying to do damage control or play silent victim ,and lucky for him both idiots blake and ryan are making it easy for him. The book is the problem in the first place. Wouldn't that mean justin was as tone deaf as blake.

The Boys comic is an over the top, tactless edge fest with basically nothing to say. Eric Kripke (who's a weirdo himself) still managed to adapt it and actually added depth and nuance to the characters and stories. The show is wildly better than the comic. So maybe This Ends With Us movie will be better than the book

Blake lively made the PR just about her. He made it about domestic violence. So much respect for him. I’m so disgusted with Blake. She took over a project that he started and made it about herself and her husband.

@@Oceangrace90 Glamorizes abuse?? Seriously? If you watched the movie or read the book, it does not convey that at all. It’s all about putting oneself first before choosing someone we genuinely love and care about. It highlights how important it is to make a decision to stop a cycle of violence/abuse that causes more harm than good. This novel shows how women experiencing domestic abuse could feel conflicted between loving a person they made a pledge to love and their own personal security, and how gray domestic abuse can feel when sincere love is at risk. Sometimes the consequences of our actions can ruin our future, so it is important to make amends in a relationship whenever necessary. Finally, the novel is a reminder of the importance of self-discovery and self-care, and the need to take care of ourselves in order to be able to take care of others.

So odd how Blake has done like ZERO press with her main co-star and also director of the film, Justin Baldoni. Neither of them have been posting about each other to promote this movie, but rather just focused on promoting the movie on its own. Did something happen between the two of them?

Lily is supposed to be 23 in the book. Justin’s mistake was pulling Blake in. She doesn’t fit for Lily and her PR team has ruined the messaging of the essence of the book. It’s not a fun flirty, flowery romcom. This book and movie is about domestic violence. Justin is the only one speaking up about it. While Blake is trying to monetize off of her hair care line and drinks.

Justin Baldoni is seriously committed to raising awareness about domestic abuse and wanted him movie to have some semblance and sanity. Blake Lively bought in her husband and deadpool editor to butcher the director's vision and make a movie which Justin didn't want. We all say we must believe women and we must, here it is extremely evident who cares for the cause and who is doing it for business. Just wait for the sequel directed by blake and you will see it will be worse than the worst lifetime/hallmark movie ever made about domestic abuse.

Spoiler alert It might be just me but , this didn’t feel like a movie that really shed light on DV was it healthy relationship ?no but DV idk , there’s lots of times a relationship can be unhealthy doesnt always make it DV it seemed fluffy , i read comments how it was triggering for dv victims so I was intrigued as experiencing that before watched it , the first scene the oven was burning she grabs him a mitten he touches a hot plate in the oven bare hands without thinking burns himself , yanks his hands back cause it burned & without looking he what to me seemed like a accidental bump in the head , he drops the plate glass breaks and he seems so sorry and u can sense the remorse , second time he drops her phone , sees her first loves number in a paper and he’s upset , he walks away from her she follows and chases him down the stairs she touches him he pushes her off him & she falls down the stairs she wakes up she looks in the mirror she has a tiny scratch on her forehead and it’s so dramatized with the music for the forehead scratch , , 3rd time he finds out what her tattoo means he goes on a frenzy holds her down bites her tattoo , healthy ? No but when she pushes him off her he doesn’t chase her , stop her , he lets her go ,& later u find out he accidentally killed his brother at 6 so he probably isn’t mentally stable , I was expecting more real DV scenerios like , beating her for what she chose to wear , belittling her , trapping her in the house , some violence, ripping her cloths when she try’s to run off chasing her lock her in a bathroom the part where they make u feel like ur going crazy , isolating you , ect keeping u from friends but honestly in the movie I felt more bad for the guy , his wife is still in love with her first love , she seems indecisive of what she wants , sneaks off to catch up with her ex , did she deserve that treatment no, but he didn’t think he was in the right , and with dv they always think there right and blame you for what they did , he didn’t blame her , he didn’t shame her , he agreeed he needed help , didnt make her out to be crazy , as someone who has expirenced it , i was hoping to see some actual scary DV scenerios , because it can make a person out there going through that , feel less alone cause when your getting beaten to a pulp & cops won’t help you you feel , alone like no one els is goin through that , and it seemed like a good story watching a movie about a girl getting out of that pretty inspiring , but he seemed supportive of whatever she chose , didn’t use the child as leverage , he saw his faults and respected her choice to go , so that is definitely a easy thing to leave , this seemed more of a rom com Drama not a movie about dv then they play all the scenes back in her memory it seems more agressive in her memory then what played out first time , her first memory of his anger is him kicking a chair after a kid he was working on died from gunshot wound so he went to the roof and was mad but she replays it in her head like he just was an angry violent man , mentally healthy ? No but abusive , idk seems FLUFFY

I mean given that the film is based on DV. Would it not be a weird juxtaposition if they did do interviews together? Maybe they are wanting to keep things separate so as to not jolt the audience with a serious film with hard topics vs fun interviews together. I dunno.
