Maria Mendoza The thing is though that everyone knows that 1D and Justin Bieber have the same target audience (mostly, Justins music actually appeals to other people as well but that's not the point) and they've known for over a month that Justin was releasing on that day, and they still put that exact day knowing it would cause drama and get people talking. Which is exactly what happened. It has nothing to do with his ego, he even said in other interviews that he's excited about hearing their album as well, meanwhile what 1D is doing is being childish and shading him on twitter with their fans egging them on. It has nothing to do with his ego, it has to do with him being able to look at it in a professional way, and he is proud of his music that he's worked on for 3 years and he has every right to be. I'm sure it will be amazing.

WOW, back in January when Bieber showed up on Ellen 3 weeks in a row, wearing jeans, not those stupid things he'd been wearing, and had a hairstyle that made him look like most young guys, I didn't know what to think other than it was a scheme to get back the fans he had lost after fucking up so much. He made the video about how bad he felt over all the incredibly stupid shit he had done, he went through with the comedy roast like a boss, and he's recently come out with some new music.....Holy shit! I used to be a big hater, I'm probably old enough to be his grandmother, but I never thought he would follow through with trying to change his image but he HAS. I will probably never like his music, I don't care for much of any current "music" (to me it all sucks), but I am happy that he is showing the world that he isn't the biggest douchebag on the planet. Hate is such a strong word, and I regret using it. I'm just glad for his sake along with his mom's that he has turned his life around and I truly hope he keeps it up. It has to be so much easier on him to not feel like he has to act a certain way. He seems relaxed, caring about others, and not a phony. I can say in all honesty that I am proud of him. I truly hope he can keep it up. I have a son who is a few years older than him and we've been through hell with him, drugs and alcohol, so I am always happy to hear a young person has turned their life around. Hopefully my son will get there one of these days.

I disagree, I think all the New Zealand interviews were super interesting, he gets treated like a human being, asked intelligent RELEVANT question and mostly he seems to really enjoy the interviews. I'm most impressed with the Mai Time interview, most entertaining and he was just rocking out with you all, some precious moments where you see and hear him stripped back to basics and killing it. big ups to the mai time crew!
