Best enjoyed with headphones on, or through high quality speakers. Use 720p for clearest video

About the RAV Drum:
Created by Andrej Remjannikov, the RAV Vast is a revolutionary instrument of the metal tuned percussion family.
The RAV team uses patented tuning technology to create 6 harmonics on each peripheral tongue, as well as 7 harmonics on the central note (also called the "ding"); this allows the range of the instrument to extend to 2 full octaves.
It's sound quality rivals that of the original Halo Handpans, which are no longer in production and can easily cost $3,000+ USD. The RAV is only a fraction of the cost starting at just $650 (depending on the scale that picks you ;-) ) + shipping from the factory in Russia (varies based on where you live - cost me ~$70 to ship to California, so $720 total for a D Major, the same drum in this recording).
Some prefer RAV's over traditional handpans due to the quality of tuning, the fact that it never has to be re-tuned (tradional pans must be re-tuned every year or so) and the longer note sustain from the tongues (vs concave note fields on traditional handpans). I say they're both awesome and am slowly collecting as many as I can ;-)
It's perfect for private, studio and stage performances, and a variety of scales are available. This an ideal instrument for beginner and professional percussionists alike. Great for sound healing, meditation, or just hours of fun on your free time (for you and everyone around you).

Yes...I had hope for composition like this...total magic...it is the way RAV should be played !!!! Full of sounds , sustains, echos, reflections...out of this world ...only RAV can do it.....so phenomenal...Thank You. I would call it Grey in Blue ...and it sounds like that mix ...

love how you always hear the alternating 1 and 3 or 1 and 5 ringing and chilling in the background

Thanks Prashant! Yes, to me, it's all about the spacing and allowing the long note sustain of the RAV to do it's thing. Many people do so much while they play like they're uncomfortable with the silence or compensating trying to impress others. I believe in letting that all go and embodying "less is more" - like a masseuse applies pressure and then releases, we must apply some pressure (via the energy of the tones) and then allow it to release and do its work, before pressing on. This is core to the Meditative Approach (the framework I've developed). Let me know if you'd like to learn more about it! I teach people all around the world via my 2 month RAV for Meditation course & mentorship program - bit.ly/rav-course

Very beautiful, just a kind of style I want to experiment myself. Waiting to get my D major (and E low) to start learning and experimenting.

Hey Justin, I love your style. I’m in Glendale, have a very similar style and own the B Rus scale... quite compatible tuning with yours. Meet up sometime?

I don’t have anything recorded though! What mike did you use to capture the harmonics? I haven’t been able to get good recordings... you can email me. Would love to meet!
