@@blankname6629 it doesnt take much for Olin to punch someone in the face...he once broke a teammates jaw during a team building event. Hoge sucks and deserves the choke out IMO haha Bear Down
It takes time for all players to adjust to the NFL. With Fields getting additional training by elite teachers on his own time he will himself come up big this year along with all surrounding him. If he was benched for two years like most other college kids nobody would see his development. Nobody focused on Montana and Rodgers in their first two years. Team continuity changed the picture for them. When Hurts and Allen were surrounded by improved players they were placed on the right path to success.
We should be amazed. Think about it, there's only one receiver to throw too against a newly beefed up defense that knows the plays damn near, and he had 3 misses.
As an Eagles fan, Justin Fields is not the guy for the Bears. He always getting sacked all the time in every game. He's not the QB the team was hoping for since the 2021 NFL Draft and they won't make the 2023 playoffs since he's still not an good enough Bears starting QB. The Bears will end up parting ways with Justin Fields and draft an QB in the 2024 NFL Draft like Grayson McCall from Coastal Carolina University who has an great cannon of throwing the football, has won alot of awards at that college and helped CCU make the playoffs alot in his career. Grayson McCall will be the Bears new starting QB in the 2024 season after Justin Fields is off the team when the 2023 season is over. Grayson McCall will look great in an Bears jersey to be sold in stores in future. Justin Fields needs to go anyway. Go for Grayson McCall as your new starting QB to replace Justin Fields in 2024 in the upcoming draft so bye bye Justin Fields. Justin Fields sucks. Grayson McCall will be an better Bears QB than Justin Fields. I see Grayson McCall being the Bears franchise QB instead of Justin Fields in 2024 and getting them to the playoffs in the future.
I swear the season can't start fast enough. Forget all the talk I want to see Fields destroy everyone. All the negative talk got me anxious to see everybody try to walk it back when they're proven wrong.
@Space Ghost A narrative that hasn't been seen this year. People stuck in the past with Fields and this Bears team. The Adam guy said it was a bad day for Fields which doesn't make sense if he threw 15/18. I'm not believing nothing he says if he can't evaluate honestly. Everybody has to wait and see what Fields does this season.
I’m a fan of Justin, I’m rooting for him, I want him to be the guy so bad…I just can’t say I’m a believer just yet. If he’s gonna do what you say, he’s going to have to have really changed a LOT about his game. I’m not saying he can’t do it but people aren’t just pulling their criticisms out of thin air bc they hate the guy. I legitimately like Justin and want to see him succeed and I have my doubts
@DomCagney I can understand the doubts but this is a new season and year. Fields has a new O-line and receivers this year. Fields has a full year underneath the same offensive scheme. Fields can't be judged off of last year because that's in the past, now people have to access him through each game this upcoming year. If the season starts and he's still that same guy through about 3-4 games in the season then it might be time to panic but not now.
It's so sad that Adam Hoge Focus way too much on the - 15 for 18 is a Phenomenal day for Justin Fields keeps pushing and putting in the work....to improve his status as a franchise player. Adam Hoge is way out of line🤦🏾 just sitting there and saying that Justin Fields had a bad day when you threw for15/18 with two key starters out with injuries. Adam Hoge needs to just sit back and stay positive and not always try to find things negative to say about Justin Fields....who's working very hard to improve his worth as a Chicago Bear 🐻👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 👏🏾✨️👍🏾

The guy is on camera and podcasts for an absurd amount of time. Tough to control the diarrhea it produces. I used to enjoy H and J podcast back when Fox was HC. Now he's unwatchable, TMI all the time.
I’m not too worried, if this was training camp I’d be a little more concerned. Both chase claypool and Darnell Mooney are out. He has three new weapons in Moore, Tunyon and Scott. So it’s gonna take some time to get this new offense to gel.
Even if it’s training camp, give these players some breathing room. Like it’s OTA, there’s no reason to report every pass, every INT. Players struggling in training camp is not an indictment on how the season will go. Patrick Mahomes struggled in his first training camp…what did he do? He won MVP that season.
Shades of 2019 when Mitch struggled at the offseason camps and everyone brushed it off like it was no big deal, it ended up being a huge deal since his problems continued in the regular season.
Swifty spitting truth here... Hoge didn't even mention the fact that JF1 was 15 for 18...I heard this take live on the radio yesterday. I don't get it. What you said about previous negative seasons is true. The media hangs on it and these are OTAs not games. Jeez!
you arnt getting pressure in 7v7 so you can compete 100% of your passes and still be bad. the question is if you are going to the right guy at the right time. that’s being said, who really cares. we’ll know in a few months if not only JF is better, but if this oline and WR group can also bail him out.
Hoge goes into great detail regarding his comments on the SCORE and addressed pretty much every point Swifty makes here. I should mention Eberflus said a couple weeks ago that completions are expected and the ball shouldn’t be hitting the ground during 7 on 7’s. So pointing out how many passes Fields completed during 7 on 7 is irrelevant and every bit as stupid as pointing out how many home runs a hitter has in spring training. Let’s see the fanboys go after Flus now. The point of Hoge’s comment was clear and specifically about Field’s decision making and the speed at which he is making those decisions. Fields is also missing open receivers down the field and instead making shorter passes bypassing the chance for bigger plays. This will matter during games. Fields could go 10 for 10 in 7 on 7 but if he is missing receivers down the field and taking 5 seconds to release the ball who cares about the completion percentage? This isn’t in a game or even game like conditions. We know this is one of Field’s flaws going back to Ohio State. A decent percentage of his sacks and hits is due to holding the ball too long. Something he has been working on for a few years now.
yup. camp is about process, not results. 2/10 would be great, if they were bouncing them off the moon and elevating the sport. (of course, that's not the stuff they're ever gonna show to media/public until live games.) hoge, though, would've saved himself a lot of heartache if he had put it as succinctly as you just did.
I know the other 2 guys arent there right now but hopefully this year isnt just the DJ Moore show. To win multiple games we need Kmet , Tonyan, and all running backs to contribute as well. All we here about is D.J. and Tyler Scott
The Secondary(Last Year's Draft n This Year's....) are developing b4 Justin and our Receivers........🤔🤔🤔....HOW About that???? It's early........ Wait until Training Camp.
It's unfortunate that Fields had to ball out on the last day of minicamp. Hoge deserves to sweat and cry like a child for the next 40 days. I can't wait until the season hits and he's "throwing the ball; throwing the ball" Stop it Hoge... Seriously... Stop it... (eye rolls)
Thanks swifty cause. I heard that Adam hope talking to on the score and I was like what he went 15 for 18 and you're saying it's a bad day my jaw. Dropped so I totally agree. The bad day was with Adam Hogue.
Justin was 15/18. What the hell is Adam talking about???? How could 15/18 be struggling and/or a bad day. He sounds like a big clueless hater to me. The Dark Knight Rises, Be there.
I like your take on Adam Hoge. I think it’s fair. Personally, I’m very tired of his neurotic hand ringing. I think it’s just his personality, but it could be Clickbait motivated.
* Agreed, instead of producing unbiased reports, these reporters seem more interested in trying to make themselves more relevant than their peers. Even if it means creating a controversy. If their controversy pans out down the road, they'll toot their horn non stop. If it doesn't, whose going to make an issue of it, or even remember it, when the team or the player is successful?
Fields completed 15 of 18 passes and he had a bad day?! haha! It's all irrelevant because it's just minicamp and PRACTICE. Let's not get too emotional until we see how Fields does when it counts!
15 of 18 sounds good but if it's for 30 yards...?? Let's be real, he's not a great throwing QB yet. His WR Jas to be open then he throws it. I want to see him connect on timing and between the lbs and safeties. JMO
I want to know out of all 18 passing attempts how many was actually to DJ moore and how many to the other guys? Since this guy is acting like Fields only does good throwing to Moore but terrible to everyone else.
in camp, you will often see veteran QB's with a worse completion % than the young guys. I heard this is because they are purposely trying to release the ball in less than 2.5 seconds. and build the accuracy into the time window VS young guys, focused on completion and no INT's even if they have to release the ball in 3.5 +
Before "Hoge" starts spinning his agenda about JF1 for the season, let's ask him a very simple question, "what are your actual qualifications ..., experienced based qualifications to be more specific, to analyze and speak on JF1' football abilities"? If this question is answered "honestly", we will all know (logically) why the word irrelevant was created; jealous and envy too!
So he's wrong for reporting what he saw? He also said thru minicamp fields was looking pretty good in the practices the media attended. Fields just didn't have a good day. Somebody reported 15-18 but all the beat reporters said he kept throwing to check downs while kmet was wide open down the middle twice
Dexter looks like a freakish star, something that's a plus, but yeah, when it's 1 good Catch a day, that's not good. Want him running this O at a high level. Tons of weapons, find the open guy. I don't trust Hoge, but I been reading the reports. Fields like he says holds the ball. You sposed to win pre snap which leaves a guy open before.
Only hearing about DJ and Pettis doesn't bother me; we're in June. It does make me think the 7 to make the 53 man roster are definitely Moore, Mooney, Claypool, Scott, Jones, St Brown, and Pettis... When I saw tape on some of the younger dudes, escpecially Pitts, I had some hopes; But those predoctible 7 is a very nice WR group
Been feilds fan before the bears Hoge opinion was right for last year don’t about this year in ea sports simulation games he holds on to the ball but EA sports bears beat all good teams want the best for feilds bears Hoge is ok bear down
Adam Hogue is not a good reporter. It’s really no wonder Kruetz went after him. I do not like him at all. No one is more full of themself. Justin is going to embarrass a lot of naysayers this year.
He’s just talking to talk. He didn’t say anything of substance. Lol There’s no reason to be “concerned” on day 2 of mini camp. We haven’t even officially reached summer yet. 😂
Hoge is a clown. Reports are that JF1 played lights out yesterday at the last practice. One cannot discount that the Bears defense is going to be much better this year so he's not facing chopped liver out there against the Ones
Either way, Hoge can have an off day too, probably had added stress due to his anniversary. Give the man a break, and nobody coming at you, hear about 4 sacks but no pressure, 15/18 was just 7 on 7s I guess, good or great day is in the eye of the beholder, and JF1 had a great day today.
Hoge sucks balls! I'm not afraid to say it... If Fields is struggling it means we have zero WR depth and with Claypool and Mooney out, it gives the fans a taste of the garbage that Fields will have to deal with.. He is throwing to Pettis and St Brown with the Rookie and Velus.... Outside of the Rook the rest we have already seen in action they just are not a fit with JF... I like DJ obviously and Claypool could be a sleeper...
Look...JF is slow. He's got the wheels of Gayle Sayers on crack but the processing speed is just not there. It doesn't mean he won't get there eventually but to expect him to adjust to all these new receivers, new offensive line, new running backs, and tight ends in his 2nd year in the scheme is not realistic. I have no doubt he'll get there but it's important not to over-hype expectations of Fields. Give him 5 years and then we'll see. JF's best asset is the pressure he puts on defenses by running and the threat of him doing his thing. That's where he'll buy himself time. The woke NFL has been DYING to find a black superstar that is both athletic and highly intelligent. It just doesn't exist and to try to force JF into that Aaron Rodgers mold is a mistake. Let the kid do what he does and allow him to be what he is. A freakshow on wheels that scares the living daylights out of opposing defenses the league over. RUN RUN RUN...pass. Run to set up the pass. Get them worried about the run, hit them with the pass. This is a feel thing. The best boxers know how to hit the guy's body to draw his high guard down and expose the head. This is what separates the greats from the wannabes. And this is how to use JF and get his best.
We won't know until the season starts. He has been up and down in practice but its hard to judge someone off practice. This season will be judgement season for Fields. I am really pulling for him more than any player on this team!

@andrewcroken7072 I'm still pulling Fields though I think he can find a way. But if somehow you are right which I hope you are not I'm hoping the Panthers stink real bad this season cuz we have their pick so we can draft Caleb Williams or Drake Maye. Again for now I'm still behind Fields.
I think the Bears now have an urgency to go get D Hopkins with this whole uncertainty of Claypool and I mean even Mooney, this wasnt his first injury trip year. Poles wasn’t looking 2 weeks ago at Hopkins but he should be now
You CLEARLY didn't watch the video. I said I respect Hoge and he knows more football than most. Try watching something before commenting maybe? Idk, or is that just me? LOL
Also i get your point that the receivers might reflect his hesitancy and I'm w u. But Claypool is out w some mystery soft tissue injury. We still don't know much about Mooney's return and he'll have to show confidence in his ankle. So this crew that fields is working w is what the bears have. He still has to deliver the ball to guys. Now if they're dropping it that's another issue. And if u think about it if dj moore gets hurt we have the same receivers as last year
I'll type it again...I am NOT fan of Adam Hoge. I'll keep it nice and leave it at that...dudes a flat out joke. I listened to as much of that crap that I could handle, made some comments and moved on.
I don't listen to them much, simply because I am too busy. I really don't want to piss off ALL of the Chicago media guys, but I think this story needed to be addressed and I tried to stay as professional as possible. Always appreciate your comments plank!!! You are a REAL one!
@@SwiftSportsNetwork Thank you Swifty, I do appreciate that comment. I totally get where you're coming from and I appreciate your professionalism. You're a damn good guy Swift BEAR DOWN!

So what!!!!..it's training camp....stop trying to drag him.....alot NFL players struggle during camp..but turns it up during regular season...it's no bog deal...!!!
I may occasionally go to Chgo from time to time but they are trying to clickbait at all times.Remember they are the ones who started the hoopla before the draft about JF1,after selling all those sliding in the water t shirts..
Man Swifty I thought the exact same thing 15/18 with these guys out, I did hear JF1 took alot of check downs but so what! Better than him taking off running all the time! I do have to disagree with you on 1 thing, and this is just friendly conversation, when you said no one has higher hopes for him than you, I'm an absolute DIE HARD BEARS Fan their Lways 1A for me but my Buckeyes are 1B and no other team professional or college in any sport even comes close, the night we drafted him I thought the cops were gonna knock on my door! I think I just got my voice back 🤣🤣🤣 Great videos keep em coming!
I'll take 15-18 all day. First things first though. I'm sure Adam doesn't have the play to begin with. Who knows what they are asking Justin to work on. Sometimes it may be something specific. Maybe something Justin struggles with. At times practice is strictly developmental. It's practice, we talking about practice
i think adam hoge is very lazy and rather than do any actual unbiased analysis, he relies on snark and wedge issues to evoke emotional responses from his listeners...an already emotional fanbase. too bad, too, bc he's a smart guy. could contribute so much more. he could also be laying down a precept for: "JjUFtin FEElds DoSNt tRUSt DP or EQ!" (this would be my guess.)
hoge is a genius, he predicted the future. the bears are now 0-2 after losing to buccaneers and fields was terrible as usual. he is the worse qb in the entire nfl
Hoge and Jahns are a really tough listen. Their podcast moves slow, there’s near zero enthusiasm about the Bears, they don’t do a lot of tape to back their claims, and it is a lot of whining about stuff. I still give them a listen, I don’t shut em out completely but it is rough.
So tired of "narrative" reporting and not simply reporting facts. "Throw the ball, throw the ball" is just what the reporters want to see, but what's more important is what the coaches want to see. Everything I'm hearing from the coaches and Poles is Justin is way ahead from where he was last year! And really, it's way to early for all these negative vibes!
