Fields is better than people think. He was on the worst Bears team in franchise history for 2 and a half seasons, and gave the Bears plenty of chances to win games that they ended up losing.
Russ will open the season. And would have to stink it up to lose his job. If he's healthy and playing even halfway decent. He'll be the QB for the 24 season.
There is no debate Steelers got Russ for a steel rus has something to prove he will take the job tbh I dnt even like the Steelers but Russ is hard cord
If only he didn't have to read defenses when actual games are being played. Maybe Smith can change him from "1 and run" to actually running thru progressions. Doubtful, but we will see.
Fields ‘cockiness came out last season when he said during a press conference, “I’m going to go out there and be me.” He followed that statement by going 11-22 passing for 99 yards, one touchdown, and one interception in a 41-10 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.
@@danielkim9453 yeah man, I used to do 2 a days in Phoenix AZ, when it was 110 degrees. Full pads was like running in a microwave oven with fire in your lungs.
High probability Fields is your starter by the end of the season simply because there's just too many chips stacked against Russ. He's 35, past his prime, no contract protection, a brutal schedule, and the grand daddy of them all, EXPECTATION! That's not enough leash if he starts off on the wrong foot. Make no mistake about it, with Russ under center the Steelers goal at a minimum is a winning season, a playoff win (or two), and possibly a trip to the AFC championship game. That's a tall order in the AFC folks! Anyone who thinks it's Russ or bust this season is kidding yourself. Tomlin is not going down with that ship! Russ needs to play at a pro bowl level or it's Fields time! Pretty clear to me what the path of least resistance is.
