Max looked so fast, sharp, agile, peak mode in this fight. Such fast, powerful crisp boxing and spinning back kicks. Man, Ilia looked like he was staring off into the abyss in terror after Max called him out. Gaethje looked great as well Max was just on a whole different level.
Max poked Gaethjes both eyes and broke his nose. Poor Gaethje fought those ten seconds knowing he’d be put away but went down like a man. Real bmf’s contending. Congrats max Holloway
@@BLAFZ4Kcasual? You know damn well Justin was reluctant to enter that phone booth . At that point? Come on. Justin was out, he had no chance of winning that trade and he knew it. But he is the highlight he wasn’t gonna rob the people of that moment.
@@dipset22554your version of a fighter must be different if you think he gaethje was reluctant to trade off with Holloway. Idk who goes into the cage with the mindset of losing. I know about nerves, but like cmon now brah😂
Gaethje was so unlucky in the last seconds which he supposed to be more careful at the end of the round and avoid free points to Holloway. 1st round - final seconds he got a back kick and broke his nose. That injury really affected his performance for the rest of the rounds. The pain and unable to take a proper good breath through your nose with full blood can disturb your ability to recover the exhaustion and stamina during the fight. And the last rounds, one wild punch hit him and KO just 1 second before the ring. Just a bad day for him.
@@lalhmingthangatbc3210 I don't mind whoever win but just telling one of the factors what might cause Gaethje lost this march. Not finding an excuse. It means need for second rematch to see if Holloway really better than Gaethje.
@@Uda007 I honestly think Justin wins a rematch. Max caused the injury and got the win so congrats on the win but Justin was compromised since the start of the fight
Why wouldn't Justin brawl at the end? He already lost the fight at that point. Going for the knock out was his last chance to win. It's possible that he could've pulled it off but it 100% wouldn't have happened if he didn't try. You have to respect him for that. Besides, he's always fought like that. That's how his entire fights used to go. It hasn't been but for the last few years that he's started to be more technical and pick his shots more often.
@@moneymike473 He already lost once he broke that nose in the 1st round. Believe me. 1st round - you broke something on your face or legs or hands, it is very hard to get back to 100% performance to continue the fight. Especially the fight at top level like them. From there you just need luck to win. Yeah... you're right. He has no other option to win except if he can land one big punch and KO Holloway. But it turns out to be him been KO.
Justin used to have a better pace more agro with the leg kicks more eager to do damage to head body hooks defensive movement and wrestling he got focused but feels like he lost some speed and aggression but also max Holloways pace and strength I feel like max does what he does better
This is embarrassing for JG. Honestly just got flat out dominated. Max made him look like didn't even belong in the ring w/ him. This is why I tell people,,,,no he's not a great striker or boxer etc. His best assett is wrestling (maybe not anymore because it's been so long) but he refuses to do it. Prefers to be as entertaining as possible I guess. Idk. Other than that, great jaw, gas tank always keeps coming, if he lands his wild punches they're def powerful and good kicks. But against a true boxer/striker. He either has to rely on hail marry punches or hope the other guy gasses. At 155 Connor would do the same to him or worse. At 170 JG would beat CM because CM would gas at that weight. Chandler is the same way almost identical to JG.
@@deronbrown5848 uhhhhh well first off, he knocked out DP w/ a kick. That's not exactly "boxing". 2nd, I never said JG wasn't capable of knocking anyone out w/ his hands. He clearly can. But not because he's this great "Boxer or Striker". He typically puts his head down & swings wild & wide. Head down.....he can't even see where he's throwing. A truly good boxer will light him 1000x out of 1000. I'm saying his toughness & gas tank alone win the majority of his fights. Not some incredible skill. His incredible skill is on the ground. But he refuses to do it so.......
I think Gaethje would literally chew up Conor’s legs the same way Dustin did then KO him. Don’t let what Holloway did to him diminish his accomplishments, Max is just that good. Max would dog walk Conor too.
both of them was a great fighter...if some people said max wins bcause gaethje nose was bleed on the first round and made him loose in max....i dont agree at all with that...bcause in fight match, who ever got their chances to make damages to the opponent and he will got some point and also got more chances to win that fight if he kept maintain to make more damage then weaken his opponent.....thats how its work right... who ever make mistakes or loose his guard then the opponent can smells it and use the opportunity to knocked u out..... i was not max fans for sure...when i saw this live i wanted gaethje to win that fight....but gaethje made mistakes in guessing max kick, bcause gaethje thought max will do a spinnin high kick n he dodge first in low position and wanted to counter max spinnin high kick with a uppercut....but max was do a spinning low kick, bcause max was noticed gaethje was in low position...then gaethje got cut on his nose....that was a big opportunity for Max took advantages with gaethje condition and he kept targeting gaethje face....respect for both of them cuz givin us a great fights...
literally not a single thing to do with luck. When Holloway is in he’s on, and it wasn’t exactly a closely competitive fight. Even before the kick broke his nose in the first, he was losing a point fight, but no he shouldn’t have been careful at the end of a fight he is clearly losing by at least 2 rounds, he did what he had to and came up short, no luck involved.
Max was winning the rounds for sure but wasnt dominating. Was practically running away from gaethje but when his strikes landed they had impact and he was much faster than gaethje
@@subzeromidnight5388 literally all the commentators and pro outlets were talking about how dominant of a performance it was from max so yes he did dominate. Not for one second did max “run” from gaethje strikes max just has better in and out movement while gaethje misses wildly. He got outstruck, rocked in multiple moments throughout the rounds before the end of the 5th. Yes he absolutely was after, so what’s your point, that max ran and barely won with a lucky quick shot at the end? that’s a load of shit
@@yiiwhd12 its definitely the same gaethje. Max was just too good. I did however notice in the full fight video i was watching thatbgaethje started well and putting alot of pressure on max and then trevor told him to slow down..and thats when max started finding his rhythm
I dont know if its max that is making gaethje miss or gaethje just wasn't accurate with his punches. He was missing alot. All those bombs he was throwing were fight enders
Love Max, but I think Justin would've put out more of a fight if only his nose wasn't broken by the end of the first round. But still, congrats to Max. I look forward to seeing them fight again
very interesting matchup. How you think that plays out? 3 Rounds Max points him to death wins all 3 rounds in decision. 5 Rounds is 50/50. Max wins 3, probably 4 rounds and wins unanimous decision. Or Nate slowly but surely starts finding more success as fight gets into late rounds. And wins by KO or submission, where the submission comes from hurting Max w/ a punch & takes advantage of it to get the submission. Huge X factors in this fight though. When you look at Nate no one thinks he has power. But it's deceptive. And hes proven over & over again at 170 he can hurt you w/ hands. And Max isn't even close to 170. So Nate's power will just be amplified. And w/ that much more power.....he doesn't have to be near as successful as Max does. Then there's the stamina gas tank. 1 of Max's great assetts is he never stops & works you relentlessly. And guys just tire out. Well Nate absolutely won't so how does that effect things? And then there's the reach advantage......Nate has a 9" reach advantage. That's insane. So this would definitely be intriguing. Max Definitely 50/50 Max UD or ND TKO
