I also discovered that I was hypogonadal by accident. I put on a lot of muscle in my late 40s/early 50s when I completed my degree in exercise physiology and wanted to see what my test levels were (assuming they would be high). They came back extremely low 138ng/DL. It was then that I was able to put all the separate symptoms together as a perfect fit for hypogonadalism- fatigue, apathy, depression, non-existent libido, brain fog.
@FartyHarley

I agree that a lot of Drs can be ignorant of the benefits of TRT. I saw a senior endocrinologist in private practice who was also head of the public hospital endocrinology department. He told me that despite having testosterone levels of 138ng/DL (with the accompanying symptoms) I don’t need to take testosterone because he has another patient with low testosterone who feels just fine without testosterone. He rambled on about having to save the PBS (Australian subsidized prescription scheme) from testosterone. I couldn’t believe how an expert in the field could seriously be telling me that a highly symptomatic hypogonadal patient does not need TRT based on a case study of one patient. I went back to the same practice and saw his colleague who then prescribed me PBS subsidized TRT (1g of test undecanoate every 3mths). I have since switched to 250mg test E every 10 days to reduce the peaks and troughs. Most doctors here treat requests for TRT as equivalent to someone asking for methadone and tell you to see another doctor for that, yet are happy to prescribe female HRT because they are suffering from the symptoms of low female hormones. I just hate the double standard.

Yes, I've heard things are not good there. Consider looking into Dave Lee's clinic. They know what they are doing. primalzone.com.au/

NP Justin Groce is a gentlemen and a scholar...

42:02 This is why yourself NP Justin Groce, Dr Jordan Grant etc all need to start a 501c and not only do outreach. But set up classes outside medical schools for students to get trained the right way. And bypass the system entirely. And with a 501c theres an opportunity to get the major compounding pharmacies and clinics all to pay in. So people like me on Medicaid dont get abused by Big Medicine...

53:00 - If you're on TRT, why take nandrolone? From my understanding, the pain benefits are from its progestogenic activity. You could just take micronized progesterone and get similar effects without all of the risk to your brain.
@troy3423
@troy3423 3 месяца назад
That's not even mentioning the beneficial effects of progesterone metabolites such as allopregnanolone. You won't get that with nandrolone
@biskupftm
@biskupftm 3 месяца назад
Do you mind sharing how you reached this conclusion? Any research or any other sources that led you to conclude that nandrolone effect on progesterone receptor is the reason for joint pain relief. How did you extrapolate it to progesterone having the same effect. And did you consider the very low dose Andrew is taking (50mg/w). Thanks
@manmedicine
@manmedicine 2 месяца назад
There's solid data on men with nandrolone and osteoarthritis, but not with progesterone. I like to practice evidence-based medicine. If a good study in men comes out I'll reconsider.

25:17 So if a man is obese as a youth and then into adulthood, when he eventually gets on TRT, does the full maturation process complete itself under the high androgenic environment? Completely? or only partially?
@manmedicine
@manmedicine 2 месяца назад
Good question. There's likely a partial maturation but I doubt it will ever allow him to "catch up"

It is baffling how little the average Dr. Or NP knows about hormones and how to treat them.
@HeritageCast

In the defense of Endos they are diabetes experts, and Urologists are only surgeons... If you also look at all the Endo Shops their titles are Diabetology . Endos are clearly separating themselves from hormones...

30:00 - That's less of a healthcare problem and more of an American greed problem. Schools that can charge whatever they want, leaving students in massive amounts of debt which downstream impacts what kind of doctor they can be while not living like a lower class American.
