Everyone looks like they're having a jolly time and we are even treated to a nose wrinkle from Justin as he rocks out near the end. A lot of fun was had by all. 😁
As The Shadows drummer Brian Bennett always used to say "We have nothing to prove: we just play how we are". This group too. All have phenomenal talent & is a pleasure listening to them. Wonder what they would all play if they did a full length concert 🤔
It was Jimmys dream to sing with Justin Hayward he's a fan loves him to bits and Justin gave him a treat...if you know the history you would just sit back and enjoy it and see it for what it is 👏👏👏👏💖
I've seen the Billy Connolly Audience With so many times, but I've never seen Tarby's. What fun and what a great way to finish the show! All time greats and some of my favourite musicians with JH at the very top of the tree, all having a ball. Didn't think Tarby did a bad job either, ok so he's not a great singer but then he's not pretending to be. I loved it, thanks so much for posting (currently bingeing on the MBs and JH).
... to Debbie, with love and respect. Here's a special treat, Just-in time, and just for you. From Dave, way down under, in Australia ... Verse 1 ... Oh Debra, abracadabra. I see magic in your eyes. Oh Debra, abracadabra. Now, you must realise, That in my own, is the same. Ive even found it in your name. Chorus... And, love can grow, yes, love can show. All we have to do is let go, oh-oh-oh oh-oh-oh oh-oh-oh oh-oh-oh ... Verse 2 ... Oh, Debra, abracadabra Now what more could I possibly say. Oh, Debra, abracadabra You are the one, in every possible way. And, you can have anything. The Earth, the moon, the sun, the stars, everything. Chorus ... Our love will grow, our love will show, and all we have to do is let go, oh oh oh Oh-oh-oh oh-oh-oh oh-oh-oh ... Oh, Debra ... Abracadabra ... Oh, Debra ... Abracadabra ... Oh, Debra, abracadabra I SEE MAGIC IN YOUR EYES ... XOX ...
I remember this! It was Jimmy’s comedy special, and harkening back to the times when the headliner would always end with a tune, Jimmy wisely gets together some virtuoso musicians to handle the lions share! Yes, Jimmy isn’t a great singer but he’s not taking himself too seriously 😂 Also, he was classmates with the Beatles and was often dubbed the Fifth Beatle due to his youth, haircut and dress sense, as well as his association to John Lennon.
I love how much fun they all had together.we need so much more Exactly like this. Joy. Hank was amazing. John was fine. But Jimmy lit everyone up! I read that he played with Beatles. It shows here. Good fun.
Hank was one of a handful of players that dozens of the cream of British guitarists of the 60's & 70's cite as having inspired them to start playing. The Beatles "Cry For a Shadow" is essentially a Hank Marvin homage.
How long was the actual show ....hour ? ....does it start with Tarbuck coming thru a brick wall in b&w ?.....I tuned in late.....ending with the music.....thanks in advance.
Such talent and Hank Marvin busking Johnny be Good... Really, was this for Tarbuck's benefooot or Marvin's ? I bought HM's Heartbeat album for my Dad, he hasn't spoken to me since. That was in year 19... 90... 19.... the year 1993.
4 years on,lets hope your daughters driving by now (25 being the age the silly costs drop) music is an amazing thing, and in them 4 years you could of learnt to play well enough to do her next gig,,haha best of luck to you and yours
Oh Dear... Some People Take Life So Seriously Dont They? In this often miserable world, just sit back and enjoy some people having fun, for goodness sake. Hasnt Jimmy Tarbuck ever given you or your parents some fun and laughter?
This is harking back to the time the star turn would do a song to close his set…. Yeah, Tarby knows that he’s not the best vocalist so gets some of his friends to do the heavy lifting
Think I know what Jag meant…when Mike Pinder and his awesome Mellotron left the Moodies around ‘78, Rick had already performed most of his great work with YES, and certainly would have been a better fit to follow Pinder than Patrick Moraz. Moraz is a fine keyboardist, but c’mon. Rick Wakeman with the Moody Blues? The possibilities are astounding.
+stef foster TY , stef . shows just how much class Justin has & he's confident in his talent that he can let others shine & have their dream of singing & playing ...thought it showed a tenderness in them all !
