No problem. Justin was the most prolific of the song writers of the group, most hauntingly beautiful of the singers in the band or anywhere. He play an outstanding guitar as well. This is a nice pick of songs. You are right when you say each is different. The was extremely versatile in their songs and they changed and developed new sounds. There are many more great Moody’s song left for you to enjoy and react to. I’m just a Singer in a Rock and Roll Band and the Story in Your Eyes are two other songs from the band. Both are rock and roll in their sound. Here is a live version. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-FgdAKg7e_2E.html

Jeff Wayne's 'War of the Worlds' album was a bit of a giant-killer when it came out. I have a vivid memory of listening to this on a tinny radio on holiday in Weymouth as a child and wishing it sounded quite as 'widescreen' as it did on record. Justin Hayward has performed it around the world and confessed his gratitude to the song for immortalizing him in the minds of music lovers - despite the fact he didn't write it. As one of Britain's most underrated songwriters of his kind, it's quite a statement.

Your talk made me think of a chapter in a book by Rimpoche Chogyam Trungpa, the Buddhist spiritual leader late of Naropa Institute, called "The Tender Heart of Sadness". I'm so glad you are enjoying the Moody Blues' music and will be listening to and reviewing more songs by them. They really were an amazing band. This song in the musical "War of the Worlds" is used when the main character is fleeing towards London and he has lost his girlfriend, he thinks she is dead at this point. The words fit so perfectly for anyone who has lost someone forever, someone who owned their heart and soul. About 2 years after coming down with a life altering disease that has pretty much locked me into living out of my bedroom 95% of the time my wife decided she could not handle the 180 degree change and asked me to move out... It has been gut wrenching, but thankfully there is beauty in this world such as this song and the live performance of "Whiter Shade of Pale" with the Danish National Orchestra... Thank you for listening and reviewing this hidden gem of a song... I love your reviews and choices in your song picking. This is for me truly one of the most amazing songs ever made. Can’t really put it in to words the emotions it provokes for me. I can recall it being played on the radio when I was a kid. Always reminds me of my parents. Nice review mate.

Hey Harri, you are so cool. Of all the FIRST TIME HEARING REACTIONS people I've seen on YOU TUBE, you are the most insightful. The part where you talk about the music getting faster and how it should, but doesn't lose it's emotive feeling. I've thought myself. I have also thought it sounds like it could be a Simon & Garfunkel song. So you've blown my mind. I also respect and admire your voice and your delivery. Very cool mate. I laugh and cry when my sports team win their Grand Final. The action on the Drummer's High Hat is sublime, so light and fluid. The Lead Guitar soars into the Stratosphere, taking the listener to a higher plain. I think it is very poignant.

Give that this song as it exists is included as part of the Moody Blues Greatest Hits, there is no need to apologize.

I just saw you react to "Question" and then this one popped up too - two of my favorite songs that one of the greatest voices in music shared with us all. I LOVE your reaction to them, and I think it says a lot about your own open heart that you can hear them the way you do. Thank you from a kindred spirit in the U.S. :)

I normally don't watch reaction channels, but I was sort of curious since this was the first time you heard a song that I consider one of the most beautiful ballads of all time. I think you did it justice.

R.I.P., co-founder and drummer Graeme Edge, if you're looking for some more reactions to cover in tribute; I highly recommend "Your Wildest Dreams: and the follow to that song "I Know Your Out There Somewhere", both rather fitting songs.
