One of my favorite Pinder songs off of Children's Children's -- It would have been great had Mike Pinder himself appeared on that video monitor to sing the "If you think it's a joke" etc. verse -- Anyway, I'm glad Justin is giving a nod to Mike and maybe he'll gladly pay him Tuesday afternoon for a hamburger today
RIP Michael Pinder. Such a beautiful spiritual song, it pulls on the heartstrings forever. Justin and his friends do a superb rendition. I cherish Mike's other-worldly mellotron that made the Moody Blues sound so unique, along with their amazing vocals. So grateful to grow up with their music.
Having been a Moody and JH fan four decades I have only got to see one live show in all that time - JH on his 2018 solo tour. I wasn't sure what the karma was nowadays between Justin and (legend and personal hero) Mike Pinder... so it was such an unexpected thrill, a joy, totally not what I imagined, that Justin began the whole concert with THIS, a relatively obscure Mike song, but somehow just right. And it set the tone for me for such a genuine concert experience. I found the whole thing riveting and in a way profoundly moving. And yes JH still presents a youthful vibe. Sincere and modest.
i am beyond sad today - the last of the original moodies has finally passed into history ... god speed Mike ... your music will live for eternity. Your spirit and love of music has brought me unfathomable joy and happiness -- and Justin has been true to that. His interpretation of your music brings so many of us - great joy. All of you 'boys' have been such a huge part of our lives. love and peace
Wow! I just found this gem. This is one of those seldom-heard Moody Blues tunes that merits more attention. Justin, you "never thought you'd live to be a hundred," but I hope you keep making music.
Justin, listening to your voice, and music of the Moody Blues in general, has frequently lifted me from a place of sadness to a place of hope and joy. Thank you!
Justin, I’ve been listening to you from the time of your first albums with the Moody Blues and you’re still going strong. I love your song Broken Dream.
So nice to know others did this! I would cycle from one album to the next, one side then the next. And these songs go into your heart, into your soul. They have all had a profound impact on so much in my life.
I always listened to them as I was falling asleep too. Not that their music bored me, it was so intricate that it exhausted my brain trying to really hear each part.
I am 70 and have been a Moody fan since the 60's. This was gorgeous and really touches my Soul. Thank you, Justin and the Moody Blues for being such an important backdrop to my life.
For the 40th year of Long Distance Voyager... I would LOVE to hear "In My World". It never get's any attention and the song is one of my very favs of ALL time.
Thank you for the joy of watching this video, Justin, and for continuing your Tuesday Afternoon video series! It means so much to me! A beautiful performance!
Wow..wow wow…. Absolutely brilliant! Justin has ‘topped’ last weeks video/song. The man is a music ‘genius’ . His voice and Music is never ending. Been a fan since 1969- Tell me anyone on this planet who has such Talent and longevity!? Thank you.🎼🙋♂️👍👏🤗😁🎤🎸. I wonder what magic you will pull out for us next week. Keep on rocking…..💙✌️🤲🔷🔹
To Our Children's... Children's... Children was a masterpiece in 1969... Woodstock... a Man on the Moon... and Watching and Waiting... making the journey out... and in... never thought any of us would live to be a million... this LP WAS the Candle of Life. Thought provoking and intellectual for its time. And today... more so.
This song by Mike Pinder is as beautiful, in its own way, as John Lennon's Across the Universe. And this version, performed by Mike's friend Justin Hayward - simply splendid. ❤️
I have been a fan of Justin Hayward and the Moody Blues since 1969. Have seen them in concert here in the U.S.A. Several times. My husband still has the original LPS too. 👍🏻 These songs bring back so many good memories. Thanks👍🏻
So here is Justin with an acoustic guitar, performing a song from the progrock days and the song continues to stand the test of time, without the Moog.
We missed you Sir. Your songs are a breath of fresh air during this awful times. They make us dream and hope. Thank you. This lovely Lady' s got such a gentle voice that perfectly matches yours. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏to both of you.
Older,wiser,sweeter...😉🙂👏- Please rock on well, we like your 'vintage wine of your lifetime fruits'. 🍷🍇🎶🎸.You must be so proud of those beautiful songs you have created. Your music shines like a shimmering reflection of feelings and experiences, thank you so much for sharing that treasure with the world. 👍✌️🤘God bless you.
Simple yet profoundly Spiritual Pinder/Lodge tune sung beautifully by Justin with just the right accompaniment. Once again, thank you Moody Blues for 50 plus years of wonderful music. 🎵🎶🙂🙂👍
Awesome, one of my favorite songs... to our children's children's children is an awesome album... their music transcends the decades and generations...
Waiting on pins and needles, as they say,in anticipation. His voice sounds refreshed after being rested for so long. Just caught last week's video..lovely!
I had to stop by and listen and watch my favorite singer sing. I never tire to the sound of his voice. That is what pulled me to him back around 1970 with his lovely but very sad song of Nights.
always thought it was just Pinder too, but we'll get some Lodge credit going here - the Pinder tunes have always been critical parts of the albums, though not singles material perhaps - the two on this album are superb, and I still think the best and most stunning Moodies tune of all is Lost In A Lost World from MP
This is a nice song!!! I love to hear Justin's BEAUTIFUL voice!!! I LOVE his singing.... ANYTHING. ESPECIALLY MOODY BLUES. And the BLUE JAYS TOTALLY AMAZING BEAUTIFUL SONGS!!! You're SO BEAUTIFUL JUS!!! LOVE YOU PRECIOUS!!!😘😇💗💕💗💕💗
Thank you again for yet another outstanding performance of an iconic song. Looking great, sounding better than great, and so good to see Julie and Mike so blended in again. What a team. This song cries out to be listened to under the influence of a little dope.....or maybe a lot of it.....but frankly headphones used to be enough for me back then! So much love for these productions, so appreciated.
OH my God, Justin. You've GOT to include this in your touring set. It's so incredibly beautiful. Love Julie's backing vocals, Mike's guitar accents, and that gorgeous bottom-end bass. Please say you'll play this in concert. !!! Please!
I hope that you have listened to the original with mike pinder singing it, it's my personal favorite. Not sure if I've ever heard justin sing a moodies song that was iriginally sung by another band member. He did good.
Sooo looking forward to it! And hoping for many more Tuesday Afternoon videos. We've missed these treats since the first series ended. Last week's was like a breath of fresh air.
great tune man.such a peaceful song.im 39 and heard this song when i was 18.my good friend introduced me to yer music when i was 17 in 1998 .since then ive bought and loved all yer albums and live stuff and solo albums.just brilliant.love from County Tipperary Ireland
Of all your songs, Justin, this is the one that sticks in me as hitting very close to home. I've quoted this song hundreds of times when explaining the Spiritual Journey. In fact, I have experienced Creation at the molecular level and seen this planet from space when I was younger and exploring Astral Projection. I discovered it was the true reality, no drugs, just meditation and esoteric studies. But none-the-less, Out and In describes it exactly. Thanks AG
The pain I feel day-in and day-out, just took a pause for a moment or two, while I listened to Justin's words of beauty. His beautiful voice and music, is the blessing, that no amont of pills will bring me. It is peace I seek. This evening if only for a few moments, I found it. From an old Moody's fan. Thank you Mr. Justin.
