He was fine as a designated deep threat. Especially coming off this surgery he's best as a WR5. We're still desperate for pass catchers in this draft, especially with the future cap hits of our aging 1 and 2.

Hopefully he uses his legs more, he’s capable but Lombardi never called running plays for him. He’s a big threat in the pocket, but if he gets a couple run plays I wouldn’t complain

With some of these concepts the OL needs to keep the QB clean long enough for the WR to get open! As stated by the OL coach the strength of this OL is their run blocking and that’s what Kellen decided to focus on what their strengbis. He did not say OL pass blocking is a strength.

decision making is so important at this level….not talking about the qb…talking about Staley and mngmts 1st big decision together was to install a 30+ year old offensive philosophy that got the coordinator fired after 2 years…not good.. now, Herbert, who had this issue in college continues with the same problem as a professional the turnover of systems…not great…but. Go chargers!
