I like the step drill/Happy Gilmore variation. I've just started speed training. My son is 9 and doing some with me too. He has a natural swing and will no doubt be a pretty good player. So one thing I've noticed is how speed training helps me to actually "iron out" a few of my flaws because they are holding back speed. My son already gets into near perfect positions so can just swing harder, hit farther basically. With a driver shaft, no head just shaft, I can get 130 right handed one hand, 110 just left hand but only like 100 both hands. He can hit 111 both hands on it.
Is it okay to do NON-overspeed training (speed training with gamer driver) everyday? That way you aren’t getting the excessive load on the nervous system from the overspeed, But you also accumulate reps and comfort moving fast with a gamer driver.
I've been golfing a long time, been between a 2 and 8 handicap for 20 years. I just wanna hit bombs, gonna do it. Golf has gotten boring always shooting in a "range". I only hit it 240. Losing yardage. It sucks.
