Quite a few years ago, after seeing JJ play his shovel guitar in a video, I built one just to see if I could, and discovered that thing has a really wild & wicked sound. Since I don't play myself, it just sat in a corner for a few years, thinking no real player is ever gonna want it for real. Then one day I took it to a local amazing guitar player named, Eli Clark, and handed it to him saying, "If you ever decide to bring this on stage, you'll never want to leave it at home." Every time he cranks up that shovel guitar at his shows, his crowd goes totally nuts, the cellphones all come out, and his tip bucket fills up. He plays it at all his shows now.

He is awesome!
