If Wayne "All Black" Barnes reffed the scrums properly the Irish would have won. The chaos at scrum time had a knock on effect on the Irish team. The fact that SA won the World Cup is a credit to the Bokke. Their had O'Keefe and Barnes, trying their best for the opposition to get the win against the Boks.

How do you set up a world club game oit of sides with no history with out devaluing the international game, where the money and history is?

I wish there was sub chapter times...

I thought one of the biggest problems with a global tournament was the time zones. The teams don't have enough time to acclimatize before a big game. If they do, it's because they had a week there beforehand. If you want to maximize the opportunities to play as many teams as possible when traveling, then you are on the road for weeks. Is that sustainable?

Each to their own, for me the Haka’s sell by date has expired. There was a time that I would not miss the haka. Nowadays it a good time to go the the bathroom and fill up with vuil coke before kickoff. Maybe if the opposition was allowed to challenge the haka I’d reconsider

Enjoyed this, Marshy represented his country well. The Boks will never get thier record with the All blacks back to what it was. It stands at 62 - 40. South Africans alive today will never see parity again Guess this was filmed before England vs Ireland 2024 😂. The Rules of Rugby is the biggest issue. 32 minutes of an 80 minute game is actual rugby being played. 48 minutes of nothing.

Ben Earl is the best England player I’ve seen since , Wilkinson , unbelievable talent, My Ireland missed our two most important players, Ringrose and Hugo , too predictable are backs were without them especially the injuries we got against England, young Crowley is very limited and is a massive drop off from Sexton especially in tight games, we need a better number 10, we need to blood Under 20s Pendegrast , Aki not getting picked is a absolute Joke even though he been playing with injuries , every team triple teams him , Ringrose and him are unplayable when fit , Ramos has to be on this team , The stand out players were Ben Earl and James Lowe and Gibson Park but player of the tournament was Ben Earl , sensational, wish he was Irish!!☘️

Marshie’s Haka explanation seems like PR waffle. In reality, everything about the modern day Haka is a massive flex and a psych up for the ABs. Even he talks about eyeballing his opponent later in the interview. Don’t get me wrong, I love the Haka, especially before a big test, but let’s not start pretending it’s actually meant to be a pantomime version of a nursery rhyme 🐮💩!!!

WRT viewership, everyone loves a good villain in a story, South African sides with their brute force physicality used to provide that for the super rugby competitions. It's New Zealands own hubris that they let that go, and we are now creating the greatest club competition once again, without New Zealand but with European teams. So, NZ can only blame themselves for their boring "exciting rugby" competition that no one is interested in watching.
