@@whydrinkhealthywater Of course we did. And I agree with her. 20/20 is not all that. It has some hits but the handful of them could've been put on one album. Felt rushed and pieced together to me
hmmmmm if I were to rank the album based on the production quality and artistry 1. 20/20 Experience (1&2) 2. Future Sex/Love Sounds 3. Justified 4. Man of the Woods 5. Everything I Thought It Was But if I were to rank it on my preference, like which one would I most likely listen more to from top to end 1. FS/LS 2. Justified (even though my favorite JT song of all time is on it) 3. 20/20 Experience Part 1 4. Everything I Thought It Was 5. 20/20 Part 2 6. Man of the Woods Thank God playlists (or mixtapes) are a thing haha I do think EITIW is the way to go if you want to get JT's music in a nutshell.
I love the fact that he put the lyrics to all the songs... I guess, aside from the fact that he's prolly tired of people f**kin' up his lyrics, his audience can sing along to his album. It really is the type of album that you could vibe to, dance to, and sing -along to. It gets better and better the more I listen to it.
This is just my opinion, but I find the CD packaging to be kinda boring. First off, I don't like cardboard gatefolds, I like plastic jewel cases. Second, the booklet insert is very dull. No color, no good photos from the album shoot. They could have done much better on this packaging and design.
This is why I literally regret pre-ordering a CD. RCA usually makes physical copies with jewel cases and rich, greatly designed booklets (like previous JT albums) and this was hella dissappointing. They did such a great photoshoot for this album to include some lazy Photoshop filter solution in the booklet. Cardboards are also very annoying, but are mostly done today because they are cheaper and the CD demand is low. Sad!
I am a graphic designer. I found the art quite good actually, very artistic. But a little bit of color inside would have been better. The cover and the gatefolds, are amazing!
