I lost my mom to ALS two years ago, when she said there was little deaths daily that is how our hearts felt. It was one of the most devastating experiences, i am so thankful to see such kindness to this family during this time of need. My mom was sick for 5 years... not a day goes by I don’t wish for a cure so no one has to feel the pain of this journey. ❤️ all the best to this family.

My dad was diagnosed with als in 2010 and passed away in 2012. Hearing their dad speak it pulls at my heart strings and I know how horrible this disease is but it teaches you to find hope and take every moment at a time! So proud of their family!

What a wonderful man and a inspiration, it’s tragic he will leave his family way too early but at least he will have the knowledge before he goes knowing he has great, well adjusted children and a wonderful mother to be there for them.

This really hit close to home 😢. My father is in his final stage of ALS. All I do is spend time with him and see life fade away day by day. I'm glad some folks get the help they need. God bless.

I know him, he's a great man. Me and his son Tag were friends for a bit and he drove me from Lake Wawasee back to near my hometown in Dayton because something came up and my dad couldnt take me home. I saw him last in July and it was so shocking due to the fact the last I'd saw of him was that he was fine. Driving, walking, talking perfectly, using his hands, all the stuff people take for granted and then now.. he cant do that stuff anymore and its super upsetting. Thank you Ellen for recognizing him and helping him and his family out 💕

I love this! ALS is one of the hardest things to watch a love one go through! I lost my dad to ALS when I was 10 and it has now been 15 years almost 16 years! I'm so happy that you helped them with everything they needed because this is the time they just need to love each other and be there for one another and not have to worry about paying for stuff! So thank you Ellen and Justin for doing this for this wonderful family!

Believe me, there will be lots of time for tears later on. Focus on the now, be sincerely happy now. Now is a gift. Imagine how much worse it would be when someone passes unexpectedly!!!! At the end of this journey, I guarantee you all that you’ll be glad you took this advise. I was in your shoes once. Joy now is better for everybody.
