Clijsters was a truly great player, which is all the more impressive how brilliant Henin's game was. 13-12 Clijster H2H, but it was Henin 5-3 at majors and 3-0 in majors finals.

Agree. I’m also a HUGE Henin fan. But both these ladies were phenomenal. Their matches were always great fun to watch. Miss the era where top 10 or even 15 ladies were all great players and very different in their own ways

I'm delighted seeing AO channel post previous matches constantly. Please post more legendary matches and I wish Chanda Rubin's magical run in 1996 will be included, especially the QF w/ Arantxa Sanchez Vicario & SF w/ Monica Seles. And some superb matches of 'Queen Of Melbourne' -- Monica Seles & Martina Hingis should be officially release!

It's because it's dominated by Eastern European players who are machine like & dull to watch. You can count good American players on one hand & men's too. China is another sausage maker & keep your mouth shut too, well done WTA in not playing there.

Good old days of women’s tennis, i wish we could see that again these days. It’s not that i have something against the current WTA players, but i just want to see consistency that we have not seen for decade in women’s tennis. I don’t want to replay old matches over and over again, but the current women’s tennis is so boring that it’s not worth watching. One minute someone surprisingly won US Open, but next minute she just disappeared from the rank quietly. 😢

My 2 fav female tennis players. They played a men's game especially Justine Henin, sadly both retired early still in their prime but came back & found tennis had moved on.

Tennis did not move on! Their highest level would be formidable even in 2023. Unfortunately, their bodies were pushed to the limit as a result of competing in a golden era with so many outstanding players

Tennis didn't 'move on'. Clijsters did great in general on her first return, while Henin's body just couldn't hold up to the rigors of the game.

Two of the best players of the 2000s. Clijsters’ comeback with 3 slam victories was epic. It’s also interesting that Hénin had a really good record vs Serena but an abysmal one vs Venus while Clijsters was the other way around.

True, but to be fair Henin and Venus didn't play each other much after 2002. Henin didn't come into her own until 2003, and I believe they only met 1 time between 2003 and 2008. Had they competed against each other more frequently, I'm sure their head to head would have been very close.

It not only beautiful tennis to watch but also lovely attitude. Kim smile when receiving the price and Justin is so humble talent. Now juk! when the runners up receive second price show so much stupid ugly emotion - even in front of stadium. No respect for audiences watching them ... And they copy each other with that behaviour too
