Join PPAL's Associate Director Meri Viano as she facilitates a conversation between parents, grandparents, caregivers and youth who have lived experience in the Massachusetts juvenile justice system.
They cover many important topics, including their first experiences with the system, many of which came from Child Requiring Assistance (CRAs) applications, the need for professionals in the court systems to receive specific training about disabilities, and how bias around race and/or culture often decide who become involved with MA courts.
