@@marshallcarter4928 I'm not saying it wasn't a good verse or anything, but i don't think I've let the version with Turk get a clean run since like 2000.
@Erich Von Manstein B.G replaced Juvys verse on Project Chick on the radio edit and the video Lil Wayne took Turks place in this song on the radio edit and video
Wayne had the best verse. 1st of all he was the only one on beat. The only with punchlines well besides bg earring one. He was destined to be the spitter out of these balling dudes.
What this was my song in jersey! I stold my first car when this came out shit the track was playing once I got in the G, Ride😂😂😂Honda Accord LX 130 on the dash I went to my school doing donuts and everybody snitched on me later on told my mom but I got away dumped that shit off in the middle of the street and baled out!!! Am def not proud of that but my balls where even bigger back then lolz you live and u learn well most of us do and sum do bad things that actually can't be fixed people actually want there blood so becarful of who u disrespect and hang with in these streets cuz u might not get that second chance like I did listen learn from ur mistakes
Damn I remember listening to this going into my first year in middle school. I just turned 34 this year. Crazy to see how far Lil Wayne has come and how the rap game has evolved from over time. Miss this era of rap!
Shit is crazy im 29 I started to fall in love with hiphop and recognize shit i was only 5 this was my favorite group 98 shit all my uncles had all the cds in the binder downloading music on the computer
As a 80s baby I appreciate this for what it is. I can’t get with the mumble rap shit. Came looking for this just to embrace my Yokohama tires 😊👍🏼 bling bling!
This is critical hip hop history here. Yes, this song is precisely where “bling” was coined. Cash money crew killin’ it. Every verse is a quotable-this song gets people hyped up like NO other. Legendary. Period.
Wayne came up with the whole concept this all Wayne they just released it on b. g. ablum. it easily could have been Wayne first single off his first solo album.. but you kno how the industry do
right, dude was sick though: light up the whole block when you glance at my watch, its Wayne baybeh- thugged out won't change bay-beh, I'll do ya main lady and I will navigate it! shit was dope from the youngster back in the day
He talked about a Lex Bubble, candy coated helipcopter, & BABY is the one that bought a plane. That’s Mannie helicopter. The same one in Tha Block is Hot video.
I done been hearing this song ever since 2000. Usually you get tired of a song and it wears off, but damn Wayne murdered his verse, and for the past twelve years I can't seem to get over it. I don't even know how Wayne thought of a flow so sick. Like damn that flow was crazy. It's not even the lyrics, just the delivery and energy of that verse shadows the whole track.
did yall hear when lil wayne said he would pull up in a Expedition....you know cars in the game has really changed...you can't pay him to ride in a Expedition.... it's all about Benzes, Beamers, Rovers, && Bentley's
These fools even had a Volkswagen Beetle up in the damn video and that's a teenaged girl's car. Even the Jag would be considered trash by today's standards. This era was shockingly different in comparison to say Migos who usually have McLaren, Lamborghini, Ferrari, etc in the videos.
