This is the only palette I have from the juvias place palette I would love to see some different looks xx plus I love the blue hair I think I like it more then the red suits you so well !! Those eyeshadows omg There so pigmented 😍❤️
... I'm so very glad I discovered you via your collaboration with Angelica. We have the same colouring and a similar aesthetic. It is an absolute joy to watch you share your talent. Thank you. 😘
I forgot to add I love your doing a look with this palette bc I have needed some help. In fact a 3-4 looks one palette video on it would be super appreciated. I can’t wait to try the look you did today. It’s beautiful. I might also try the lavenderish duo chrome shadow as the lid shade. Super pretty look.
Paulina Beauty me too I have a lot of palettes that I don’t use because I want them to stay brand new and pretty but also coz my brain tends to go to mush when I’m trying to come up with a colour scheme x
I bought that brush set for my niece back when I was new to buying brushes (I took a hiatus from most makeup when I had a baby but even before I never used eyeshadow except as liner bc I didn’t know how to use it, and I didn’t have many brushes). I used reviews but a lot of brushes had 4.5-5 star reviews so I was unsure. I now understand brushes a lot better and what brushes work best for different eye types-to some degree. I also understand why I struggled with eyeshadow, I have somewhat hooded eyes. I also didn’t have RU-vid when I was a teen and even though I got on RU-vid in ‘07 I wasn’t aware of makeup channels till the end of 2016. I have the Magic palette and one thing I noticed was the dark blue and purple weren’t that pigmented which seemed strange for Juvia’s but I think I get why now. They are easier to work with and can be built up (which also allows you to use a light layer as its own transition shade which is very cool. I bought magic and Festival at the same time and thought magic would be my fav but it was actually Festival. Although I’m really getting into the magic palette now. I only bought Festival for the true red matte but it’s a great palette to do easy yet dramatic eyes. Magic has been more of an accent palette but I also think it’s a palette that’s maybe more suited to ppl like you who have a much greater skill at eyeshadow. I don’t really think it’s a beginners palette, but that being said it’s taught me a lot about how eyeshadows can be used in new and interesting ways. I’ve done the outlines of eye looks on my arm, playing with blending and building and mixing colors. (My eyes get sore easily so I can’t normally do more then a couple eye looks in a day.) And bc they pans on the reg palette are so large I can play around a lot without using up my fav colors to fast. I let my 6 yr old niece use it al the time when she wants to put makeup on me. It’s been a really fun palette. I adore Juvia’s so much. Beautiful affordable eyeshadows with gorgeous art on the packages.
Brushes are very personal I've found. My friend and I have complete different preferences when it comes to brushes, both for eyes and face. You just have to play around and see what works best for you. I kind of agree with you that the color story on some of the juvias place palettes can be a bit tricky if you are just getting into colorful eyeshadows. But like you said, the formula is very easy to work with, which makes it better. I also wasnt aware of the beauty community on youtube until honestly last year, so I'm still very new to all of this. I wanna say I got into makeup more seriously fall of last year or so, and ever since I've been binge watching youtube lol. You say you do multiple looks a day? You are way ahead of me.. lol, I only do my makeup once, in the morning and thats it ahaha. I'm sure my eyes would go crazy if I tried doing more than two :D
Annette's Makeup Corner Sometimes I do more then one look. I would do one, wash it off and do another to practice but my eyes would be shot. I don’t put on more then the most basic makeup often so when I have an opportunity to play with it I like to practice. If I can get better I can get faster and so then I can wear more fun makeup more often. I recently discovered that brushes aren’t universal. Like I noticed jkissa using the flat topped fluffy blending brushes a lot when she starts her makeup but only ever use those without shadow to help diffuse my shadow. I’ve found I like smaller denser brushes and a very tapered crease brush. But my eyes are partially hooded without a ton of lid space. My daughter has a ton of lid space but she treats makeup like a vampire treats garlic and holy water. Last time I asked her to let my put makeup on her she actually hissed at me. But that’s been her “I don’t like....” expression of choice since she was three and informed me she was a cat. But I do get to play with makeup with my niece which showed me how different brushes could work from one eye to the next. I can’t wait to see your video with the other looks. Im still a the stage where it’s helpful to have examples, especially with more colorful palettes. Which is what I prefer. I can’t wait for my hasina palette to get here but that’s another palette I’m gong to have to look for help with. I loved your Ace Beaute paradise collection video but and thought about buying two of them (Although I wanted three) but when I compared the shades in the three palettes I liked the most next to hasina and hasina 2 (which I’m going to order soon) I realized that almost every shade i liked from the three Ace palettes were in the two hasina palettes. Some of which were exact dupes. I had made a collage of arm swatches and noticed how similar they were. I still would like to get them but I don’t need them and I really shouldn’t spend that much money on makeup. Thanks again for doing the magic looks. I want to play with my magic palette again now.
Ah okay that makes sense. Yeah I know the hooded eye problems. Mine are hooded on the outside so they are kinda down turned which makes winged liner really hard . I've ordered the blossom palette and hasina 2, so I will be doing plenty of videos with those when I receive them! I dont know know what you mean about the ace palettes, I dont have those lol
Annette's Makeup Corner That’s so Funny, I thought I saw ace videos from you. But my brain is a chaotic place on the best day, and my memory of that video is super fuzzy now. I’m totally wondering what doppelgänger of you did that video I saw or was it a super realistic dream. I do have CFS and I will doze off doing anything if I’m sitting for more then 2 mins. So maybe when I was watching RU-vid beauty videos and dozed off, I dreamed it. If that’s the case I’d love to doze off during that buzzfeed video about the best ice cream. Id love it if I could have a realistic dream that I was eating it. That would be awesome.
Annette's Makeup Corner Thanks for asking! First I put Ife on the outer 2/ 3 of my lid and a little on net crease then I used Kogi to blend it out . With Yejide I deepened and I ran Faso onto my lid ( this created a beautiful gradient because it mixed with Ife ). And , finally, I used Aja to smoke the bottom of the eyes.
I checked your review before finally checking this out my cart. :) I was torn between lots of palettes and this seem to have a pretty good range of colors and has a good price. Was about to checkout the jawbreaker by jsc, but it's expensive here in my country. I want to experiment on brighter colors now because of you. :) excited to get my hands on this. not the newest palette on the market, but at least it has some contrast on my soft glam from abh. :)
All of these palettes are amazing, you really cant go wrong with Juvia's Place! And dont feel like you ever need to use the products I'm using. I'm obviously buying a lot of stuff just for review purposes and I dont need this much makeup lol. You can always recreate similar looks with whatever you own :)
