As a child, I loved the front panel design - how the buttons were shaped to match the function. Seemed to remember these were fairly unreliable relatively... I was 11 years old when they came out but worked on them a lot in the 1990's...
The Ferguson version (3V35, 38/39) was more common over in the UK than the JVC version. A few years ago I had the multi system version (HR-D120MS) but back then I was a 17-year-old idiot and trashed it because I couldn't figure out how to make it work.
mine wont play, anything is working obviously but if i press play it makes some short noise as if it is wanting to play now, but then remains in silence
