I remember when this radio came out it was either the stereo or the PS2 I went with the JVC then I got the PS2 for Christmas that year back in the early 2000s
I have the speakers for it got at yard sale for 5.00 I have gt700 mx g50 mx cb5? And a set of gt90 speakers all collecting dust. (I used to b really into collecting them) they all have good bass and have a great look to the design
oooo nice dude! cool collection you got. GT90 is a beast for sure. How is the G50? I have been trying to find a G-Max model JVC for ages but they are super hard to find around here.
Do you sell these?? I bought my 31 yr old Son, for his 16th birthday, the best JVC that Best Buy had. New, I pd about $400.00 new for it. It had some GIGA Base boost on it. Where can I buy one for a good price that will vibrate the house? My stereo, the CD player quit working and then 1 speaker quit. It's not the speaker, it's the inside where you plug in the speaker. I am fighting Bteast Cancer right now and music is my therapy. I really want a kick ass JVC with the huge speakers and tubes and high wattage. Can you help me. Will you sell on. It says that you are the JVC Guy. Please let me know. I desperately want one. Thank you very much.
@@TheJVCguy Hey There,I Actually found a Great Set, Uhm its A GT89 But Since it was in good condition, meaning its also expensive😭 Edit: its a MX-GT95V, And Its listed for 25K! THATS WAY TOO EXPENSIVE!, And I Found an Alternative for it, A JVC J333V Which Listed for 2.5K But Sadly its Bluetooth Modded with Cheap Bluetooth Board, And I Found a Defective ***Almost Similar*** To GT80/GT90 Head, An Defective JVC MX-DVA9. Its Still Listed for Free and Owner Says the It has Power but No Sound, And The Volume Handle Thingy is Gone. (Some of 'em is gone too) Another Edit: Found Something Intersting, A JVC MX-GT Series for Cheap Price
congratulations very good video 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 I also have the GT80 and I would love to have the gt90 (I think I will never have it). is there much difference between the two? greetings from Chile 🇨🇱
the GT90 gets lower and rattles walls and stuff. GT80 also gets really low but its a mix of low deep bass and punchy bass and doesn't rattle walls as much
Not my video but mine is the same system except mine is bigger and better ------> /watch?v=VfNI88v_JUg&t=1s&ab_channel=MarkRobertson Put your toys away boys.
Hola JVC guy Ii really like your videos I am fan of JVC mini components too I have a question What is the difference between the JVC GT90 AND THE JVC GT91r Gracias y saludos
there is not much difference, they are supposed to be the same stereo but for different parts of the world, but personally I think gt80 sounds better than gt91r for some reason.
I know a lot of people look down on these sort of micro systems, especially audiophiles, but I don’t really understand why. The bass on this sounds very deep and I would look into getting one for myself if they were easy to find.
I plan on buying just the speakers from that system on eBay for my Jvc MX-G50 system can't wait I need bigger speakers for my Jvc MX-G50 system the ohm ratings match which is awesome
The back of the G50 amp says 4-6 or 4-8 ohms for the mids correct? If it does then yeah you should be good. I really want the G50 and the G70 But I cant find any sadly lol
@@bassmaker4real197 damn. I seen your videos and I recognized that station. Is it Minnesota? I used to live in Minnesota a while ago haha. But yeah I never have seen a single G50 or G70 for sale here but I want one badly. Seems like the bass is very powerful
HAHAHA! OK! This is a toy. This is not my video but this is my system except mine is bigger and better ------> /watch?v=VfNI88v_JUg&t=1s&ab_channel=MarkRobertson
Looks like a teenager designed this and thought it would look cool. A bit like when you give a little kid a piece of paper and pen to draw the best car in the world and he draws one with big fins, jet engines, fat pipes, fat tyres, ass up nose down, skulls and flames all over it. This thing only appeals to teenagers with little money and fewer taste, all bass and no sound, all lights and no subtlety, few features and no upgradability. This is something I would give to a kid as a "My first Stereo". It will give him street cred with his friends but to an adult is very unimpressive. I mean 350 Watts total? 🤣I've got more than that in one speaker. It doesn't have Dolby, DTS or even 5.1. It can't play minidiscs, vinyl, Dvd's, Laserdiscs, VCD's or even have bluetooth. Sure it can play 3 CD's but mine can play 10. Your remote is "cute" but it doesn't have a 3D interactive touchscreen remote with bi-directional communication or voice activation. Nice little toy but I'll stick with mine. I'm happy that you like what you have. It might be a collectible one day. Just not today.
nah. You are so wrong. This thing would whoop whatever your stupid toy of a 5.1 system is. Who needs a stupid touchscreen remote? more stupid shit to break? what an idiot 😂
@@TheJVCguy In a box system? Mine's a full blown stack system that's taller than you kid. You need more than 3 of these micro systems combined to even come close to mine in watts. Capability? Mine can play almost all media formats and audio types from the past 50 years. Everything from vinyl to DVD it can play. It has 5 remotes to choose from, one for the Minidisc player, one for the DVD player (Both of which I never use), one's a simple "Chocolate Bar" simple control all remote, one's a graphical screen control all remote and the best one is a 3d interactive two communication touchscreen remote which just in itself is worth more than your whole system. It even has karaoke on two of the seperates so I don't know how you think your system is better in any way to mine. Is yours voice activated? No! Mine is. I can walk into my room, tell it to turn on and it plays whatever I've programmed into it without even touching it. I can even have it search the broadcasting radio stations for a specific genre that is currently playing like 80's or Rock and it will find a radio station playing Rock, not a Rock radio station, a station currently playing a rock song. Come on kid. Just my Laserdisc player (Of which there's only about 10 left in the world) alone costs 20x more than your system due to the rarity. My system was designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro, the greatest designer of the 20th century, who was yours designed by, a 12 year old? Even though my system is 4 years older than yours mine still pounds it into the ground in every way. all 1200 Watts of it! Oh, and my "Stupid Touchscreen Remote" is still fully working and in perfect condition since 1997 so yeah......Sure!
@@TheJVCguy Don't get me wrong here. I do have a great respect for what you have done cleaning it up and all the effort you've put into it but lets understand that even back then it really wasn't a good system. I'm sure you have good memories for it but because I was from back then it wasn't all that great. It wasn't even mid-range. It had way too much bass and no balance, it drowned out what you were trying to hear. I had to turn down the sub on my Sony HTDDW750 for the same reason. The reason why I have what I have now is because I saw it back then and I wanted it. Now I've got it everything sounds crap and is featureless by comparison. Just saying...
@@Kit_Bear 1997 isn't that old LOL. give it another 10 and pop it goes. All the shit you said sounds like a bunch of more stupid shit to break. Simple and sounding good for the win! Dont need any fancy voice features in order to enjoy the music :)
