ABOUT NAKSHATRAS:
'Vedic' astrology has a complex system of stars aka 'nakshatras' or 'lunar mansions' working behind the scenes of the 'rashis' that are further related to 'deities' and 'mantras' found in the 'Vedas'.
In this series, I will briefly discuss the energy of each 'nakshatra' every day, following the Moon through his journey across the sky around the Earth.
In each video I will talk briefly about the 'nakshatra', its energy, its significance and also how planetary placements here influence your life and what they guide is towards.
This video is about the nakshatra of 'Jyeshtha', which is the 18th 'nakshatra' out of a total of 27 and what its energy is like.
ABOUT JYESHTHA NAKSHATRA:
Ruled by the twin influences of 'Indra', the king of the gods and 'Alakshmi'; who is the elder sister of goddess 'Lakhsmi' and in many ways, her antithesis; This is one lunar mansion which expresses oodles of power, tact, cunning, shrewd judgement/decisions and hidden/covert actions, activities and affairs.
'Jyeshtha' natives are heavily influenced by a need to be ahead of the competition and be in a position of 'power' in some way or other. In fact, it is also their 'karma' to find themselves to have to be in a position of taking charge and handling the mantle of their family, familial responsibilities or some sort of responsibility at a social or community level.
In fact, the totem animal associated with this 'nakshatra' is the male deer and themes of display of power, wealth and elegance come through quite often in the natives dominated by this energy. 'Pride' is the only thing they need to guard against as 'Jyeshtha' natives can often fall prey to the perils of false pride and bravado.
Quite often it is believed that all natives with important placements in this 'nakshatra' are cunning, opportunistic and calculative by nature.
The reality is actually quite different. The thing is that individuals who are dominated by this energy by virtue of their Moon, rising sign and/or majority of planets being placed in the 'nakshatra', have to learn to become calculative, clever and shrewd individuals. Their soul has chosen to develop in these directions in life to be able to carry out its spiritual purpose efficiently.
It is interesting that while 'Anuradha' 'nakshatra' (which is the lunar mansion immediately preceding this one) represents an energy of tact, diplomacy and connection, 'Jyeshtha' represents an energy of reading between the lines and taking control of key secrets that others would rather want to never see the light of day.
Unsurprisingly, one will often find individuals in the fields of espionage, ethical hacking, social media optimization, finance, detectives, data analytics, politics, researchers and communication engineers, government officials, leaders, high ranking officers, administrators, lawyers, journalists, psychologists, & media professionals with this 'nakshatra' placement quite prominent in the chart.
The 'shakti' of this 'nakshatra' is 'the power to arise'. Needless to say, 'Jyeshtha' natives often start their lives with not much power or influence to boot but make significant gains in this direction as they age and mature.
