JYP Entertainment's Strict Rules? 

Although JYP is strict, I believe that he only wants the best for his trainees, and it is obvious that he has a good relationship with his idols.

Not dating for 3 years is actually smart because they are new in the industry still need to establish there career and there are alot of creeps in the industry so 3 years experience at least can be a good judge of character

JYP isn't the CEO anymore he retired someone else fires them or whatever he mostly coaches them and he's a pretty good one.

These rules aren’t that hard to live without.. like you don’t HAVE to date..

although you can't eat certain foods, it's just unhealthy so it's better for you, plus jype provides nutritious foods for lunch and dinner for trainees, you won't get kicked out if you eat the forbidden foods cause i mean you can always eat them in secret but that's if you even can eat more than what they provide you cause it's filling

Tbh the Half Air singing technique is the hardest for me...changing your singing style with which you have practiced for so long and even auditioned with is truly tough af! It's easier to learn than unlearn!

If I decided to become an idol, I would definitely choose JYP

I think it’s really smart to sing in English cause a lot of Koreans can struggle to sing in a language they are not that familiar with, like as they keep singing in English can benefit their language abilities better, and these rules and SM ENTERTAINMENTS rules are much more fair compared to YG and (maybe) HYBE

-Dont go to bar:I mean thats not hard at all and you can dring at home. -Strict diet:I mean evry idol has it and to be for real i actuly thing evryone is feed normaly in Jyp[based on idols].Some might want to be thiner but yea. -Dont date until 3y.I mean some companiese dont even give to date at all and if i was idol i would agree to not date 3y so i can concentrate on making music. -Sing English songs:If that halp to make you batter vocalist then im in.I mean thats why evry Jyp idol,even rappers can sing nicely.And for people from other countrys they can show they skills by sining english songs so korean words wont be tk hard for them until theyre learning korean.And Korean treqnies can learn english like that and make their spelling batter.It also help all of them to breath batter while sining and to conctrol their voices. -

I know that Jyp is not the ceo anymore but he knows what are the needs for the trainee to become an idol and he instructs perfectly strictly so the trainee will improve and his “hurtful” words can also make the trainee know their true self and they will improve it to get praised by jyp. And I know all of this because I was a survivor of the Sixteen and Straykids survival show😔🤙

The diet thing has been talked about further. But as far as the other rules... It's not that bad. And you can sing comfortably in your native language believe it or not it can build your singing abilities by singing in another language

I didn't expect the third one (English songs at monthly evaluation s) I'm auditioning for JYP and as a foreigner I see this as an absolute win

I understand his rules and here’s my thoughts: On the only singing English during evaluations: Since they only allow you to sing English, singing those’d songs in half-breath-half-sound is the next challenge. Then if your an English trainee do they allow you to instead sing Korean? The dietary restrictions: I understand keeping the idol look but some restrictions take it too far and limit some people to damn near nothing. The Bar rule: I understand that one as to preserve their images but doesn’t that one really only apply to male trainees? Technically a female trainee can go to a bar/club with female hostesses while a male can go to one with male hostesses? The dating rule: Makes sense and it’s a shorter dating period than some other companies.

If you think abt it though, he takes it very easy with his idols and lets them off for a lot of things. Even though he’s strict I believe he just wants the best for his trainees.

Dating is a waste of time. FOCUS on your career. Hookups ok.

This is why BigBang changed their contract the second time around..The Artists are NOT employees for the Label. The label is there to help the Artist because the get a commission from any sales of the Artist's products (i.e concerts). YG Entertainment understood this. BigBang would leave YG Entertainment otherwise. GD had already written his own songs and produced his own music. YGE knew GD and BigBang members didn't need them. I hope the rest of the Artist learn this well. The trainees are not employees, they are Artists... especially after their debut and success.

Those are reasonable honestly. Many trainees are fairly young (early-late teens) and could be taken advantage of or just distracted by teenage dating drama. Dieting is just what comes with being in the public eye and maintaining a healthy diet is necessary for all of the strenuous activities. Singing in English...probably good for pronunciation since most songs all have some English. I have no desire to be an idol and those make sense. We all know like any other teenager, idols totally broke the rules hence why trainee stories are the most well guarded secrets of their life 😂

His rules kind of make sense though. The bar thing can keep scandles lower for male trainees, JYP has strong vocals lines so his preference vocal training seems to be a good way, diet okay we don’t know what else they require, and the no date rule for the first three years after debuting makes sense. Like focused on building a career. Also bringing the boyfriend/ girlfriend to the company kind of makes sense. In the end if things not working out they know who they dealing with

I like the JYPE rules. They have an equal amount of everything an idol should have. The bar rule is okay, because when do trainees have time to go anyway? Plus it's good to have them practice their English, because it's going to be used a lot if they debut. And who tf has time for dating anyway.

JYP and JYP entertainment are different. JYP is Park Jin-Young and JYPe is the agency. JYPark left the role of the CEO since 2011

He is strict, but I’m all okay with all of them… like I don’t drink❌ I can follow strict diets, I can try it again.. I mean I used to have bad eating habits😅 because I don’t like many junk foods🍔 and I’m a picky eater😮‍💨 I really don’t know Korea🇰🇷 but I sing for like 6 years? I can do vocals, rap (a little more) and others.. And I’m okay being single for 3 years, actually I’m single for like way more than 3 years😂 but I think strictly diets will be harder😢

I feel like although JYP is pretty strict - it's for the trainees own good. Besides, the rules aren't that hard. Cz it's not like u're dying cz of not dating. And JYP offering to buy the boyfriend and the idol dinner is just wholesome.❤

The one about the bars is for all JYP employees, I believe. All of these rules seem reasonable, IMO. The singing technique one is the weirdest, I think. Plus, the dating ban isn’t even a full-contract ban. If you're busy establishing your career, it makes sense that you wouldn't focus on romance and dating anyway. The fact that he's willing to buy dinner for idols and their partners for being introduced also says he respects their personal lives.

JYP isn’t even that strict though he is actually the most kindest of all of them he’s not even that strict he lets them go to bars he actually lets them eat he lets them have a boyfriend like he is the nicest entertainment of the mall because he lets them Date and stuff like some companies don’t even let them eat they let them starve to death because I want them to get skinnier and I only speak in English so do JYP is for English people I love JYP and I’m probably going to audition for them to🎉❤

Guys, Jin young park aka JYP was never the CEO. He’s the co-founder and the founder is Jung Woon. He named it after JYP the first solo artist under the company. So no JYP was never the CEO and it’s true.

Aside from the diet restriction, none of those are strict at all.
