I'm a Japanese male 52 years old. I know this very well. This is one of so famous and popular German marches, in Japan. We Japanese often use this march in our sports day of various schools.

Das ist ein großer schöner Marsch Klänge. ich wusste nicht, dass Württenberg bis vor kurzem ein eigenes Königreich hatte, verhältnismäßig.

In 1873, the German Merchant shipRobertoson was hit by a typhoon.The ship was aground off Miyakojima Miyakokuni. At that time, the islander rescues the crew.They gave some food to the Germans.They gave Germans a place to sleep. The days were 34 days.And the islanders put a lot of food and water on the ship and sent the Germans to Germany safely.There are still monuments sent from Germany in Okinawa.
