He was a man who loved the aesthetics and the beauty in this world. He didn't like war and unscrupulous politics. And because he was a dreamer and loved peace he was hated. Same today... If you are dreaming a lot and doesn't agree with the bad community you will be avoided and hated.
@sazuist He didnt get mad! That was a lie from his enemies,to justify his deposition, because King Ludwig DIDNT WANT to help the emperor Wilhelm to start war. Our King was a warmhearted, dreamily but true man.He wanted to make the world around him and his people friendly, peaceful and good; and because he hated war, violation, brutality and betray,he became a(mental healthy)victim of all this darkness. But in the heart of many of us bavarians he stayed alive+beloved until today.
dunno if anyone gives a damn but if you're stoned like me during the covid times you can watch pretty much all of the new series on instaflixxer. I've been binge watching with my brother for the last couple of weeks :)
@Yssann BTW: Did you know, that he organized a kind of health-and Life-insurance for all the people, who worked at and in his castles? This is just ONE evidence of his rational thinking. He only was melancholy because of the cruel in the world and of his burden of responsibility as a king without possibility, to change the world really into a better place;and in the end he got depressive, BUT THATS NOT MAD ! Mad were his murderers and those, who ordered it.
+Sahaja D The young man on the photo is Josef Kainz. He was an actor and travelled with Ludwig to Switzerland in order to perform "Wilhelm Tell" for him. The music is NOT Wagner.
