Königsberg was destroyed by English! Russian cities before red revolution 1917 were built very beautiful too. After World War 2 they were almost completely destroyed too. Russians were not to be confused with soviet peoples!
Konigsberg was heavily bombarded day and night for three months by the Russians during the siege. They also demolished many buildings afterwards that could have been rebuilt. They dynamited the ruins of the castle and replaced it with an ugly office block. The cathedral was only saved because the tomb of Kant was there. So don't tell us that only the British were responsible for the destruction of Konigsburg.
Thanks for making this vid. It must have been a really beautiful city back in the day. My father couldn't stop talking about his hometown Koenigsberg and how beautiful it was.
@Biofishable Thank you very much!! =) i agree with all your words.. Unfortunately, here is no just a part of the former beauty now .. The lake remained the same, but everything around it - turned gray and banal .. =( ugly soviet architecture.
sad to look how it looked and now it's crap ...we have to do something to rebuild it and return it to germans or give it an autonomy from russia... it never was russian
@@anasapsana824Für eine kurze Zeit während des Siebenjährigen Krieges. Das stimmt. Es wird gesagt, daß Friedrich der Große hinterher so sauer auf seine (ost-) preußischen Untertanen war, daß er das Land nie mehr besuchte.
Zurückgeben halte ich z.Zt. für eine schlechte Lösung, da die BRD gerade an die Wand gefahren wird. Eine Autonomie oder eine Freihandelszone, wie sie unter B.Jelzin schon mal angedacht war, halte ich für eine gute Idee.
