Shouts out to Gabe for the drone footage and filming this. The songs is about losing my grandfather. I kept the lyrics pretty subtle and open to interpretation. I’ve got his hoodie on in the video. My grandfather was one of my best friends and an avid Harley rider/ enthusiast of the United States. He’d been to most states and had friends everywhere he went. I’ve experienced death and grief in my life (like all of us have) but this was especially excruciating. Today I was at the pinefalls 4P festival and things felt off. He’d typically be there in a crowd with his bellowing laugh and loud voice. Bringing everyone together and recounting old stories. His absence there was like a phantom limb. I spent a lot of years mentally preparing for an event like this to occur but I never realized how strongly it would effect me.
