You know in episode 2, zeynep goes and checks the files in the office to see if Halil has cheated her father, and he gets angry and emotional when she accuses him of being a ‘thief’ … and he quips back saying, “is it so easy for you all to accuse someone of being a thief?”- in his mind, it’s not just another business ‘acquisition’,… he doesn’t have any guilt about anything he did to the Aslanlı family or property! So, is the guilt only be coz he misjudged Zeynep? His perpetual vengefulness stems from the accusations that his father endured. There’s just something really ‘fishy’ about the ‘bankruptcy of Aslanlı family’ and the lawsuit that Halil files against them, which he later on tells Söngul that he will withdraw- I think in ep 104. Why the change of heart? He suddenly doesn’t want to avenge the shame endured by his father and his family and give back the property to the Aslanlı’s?… The question is, in what way was Songül’s family associated/ intertwined with the property that the Aslanlı family owned? … and if Halil’s father was just a coal mine worker, as he mentions in ep 123, … in what way was he even acquainted with Zeynep’s father to be made scapegoat by Songül? … the ‘rabbit hole’ runs deep!🧐🤔

@@TheSolivagant1111 Hi! Yes!! I've been worrying about that bankruptcy for a while: definitely fishy, as you said. Zeynep says early in the series (maybe in Ep. 2 the one you were thinking about too) that her father would never have made such bad decisions. I've always wondered whether he was led into/tricked into financial disaster. Also, do we know how Ömer died? I don't think there was ever an implication that Halil had something to do with it, but the timing...! It was probably for the plot, to have Halil taking merciless revenge on five women. There was a similar series many years ago (Asi, starring Tuba Büyüküstün) in which the Halil character comes to take revenge but the father is still alive, and so the struggle is really between the two men. RT made a brilliant (in my view) change in making the struggle between the hero and heroine, who became head of her family. So, yes, I've been going down that same rabbit hole all summer! 🤔Before I had to go back to work for the fall term, I actually did rewatch to 122, right before the big love declaration and the coal-miner story. I actually found that whole reveal a little confusing. Like you said it made me wonder what the relation between these families had been that Halil's father ever could have been pegged as the necklace thief!🤷‍♀I can't wait for Sept 30! That teaser! I need to know what Zeynep found out and what they decided (together?) to do about it!💔❤‍🔥🥰

@@christineb-jq9yx Hi Christine! I don't remember that they gave us a clue about the reason of Ömer's death. His was young, so weird that he passed away so soon. I hope we'll know more about what happened. I don't think Halil did anything fishy to cheat Ömer. He's a tyrant, he has a heart of stone, his motivations are indeed hidden, but he's not a liar. But I think it's possible Halil made his best in a legal way to take everything from the Aslan family. We'll have to wait a bit more to know about this. Can you believe the season 2 is almost here?! I'm so excited! 🎊🎉🎊🤭

Ahh… the ‘curiosity fever’ is at its peak! 🤒🙄! … Oh, we don’t know how Ömer died, and definitely Halil had nothing to do with it. But, if we were to closely examine the ‘bread-crumb trail’ in the story, episode 1 introduces the grandmother on top of the terrace crying out to her son…. if that’s anything to go by, then the ‘terrace’ has something to do with Ömer’s death I think. But, Songül definitely has something to do with Ömer’s death, considering Grandma has accused her on multiple occasions of being a murderer! … and yes, I truly hope the writers found the keys to the locker in the Swiss bank where they put Zeynep’s ‘logical brain’ during episodes 125-129 🤔🤨😂…. We have to see a good ‘character development’ in Zeynep’s character otherwise, its going to be painful to watch, let’s hope for the best Considering that the screenwriter and director did change for this season! …BTW you are not alone in scheduling your daily routine around RT….☝️😁😉

Hi! Thanks for your comment! I agree with you, Zeynep has said many times to Halil that he built walls around him. Sometimes there was a crack. Then he melted completely. ;) About Zeynep, I understand her behaviour because he made her suffer a LOT. Can you open up that easily to a "tyrant" as she called him in the beginning? Cemre said that, as she understand Zeynep's inner world, Zeynep doesn't care about Halil's mean behaviour toward her, but she can't stand him trying to hurt her family. Moreover, she's more hurt because Zeynep doesn't understand why he did all this to her family. She often shuts up because she's trying to protect someone. After Bülent's incident, she told Halil that she didn't say anything to protect him, because she was afraid he would have mess up with Bülent. Then, with Orhan, she wouldn't betray Gülhan's promise, etc etc. Also, she often closes her mouth because Halil behaves like a contemptious idiot. About the perfume project, "no one wanted to buy your project? You believe so much in yourself!" or about the job she accepted reluctantly: "you said you would never work for people using pesticides, but you lower your head that easily". So, how could she opened to him about her problems? To finish with, I agree with you about Zeynep's behaviour toward the end of the season 1. In my mind, the scenarist have entirely spoiled her character. She always speaks out loud, and in a moment, she's all shy and can't even open her mouth to answer Halil's love... that was not believable. Hopefully, season 2 will bring a more confident and strong Zeynep. I do hope so! I hope that Halil will have learn his lesson and doesn't give in to his anger again toward her (he can fight the men around Zeynep all he wants, let's see some action! Ah ah!) We want a passionate love, in fire!! 🔥🔥

@@Dizi_Princess It’s true, that the screenwriters have messed up Zeynep’s character: there is a huge disconnect between what they introduced her character as and what that character became at the end of season 1… ok, agreed that she kept her mouth shut many times for protecting Halil - but, there is absolutely no justification for ‘dumbing-down’ Zeynep’s character and showing her as someone without a voice in the last episodes 125-130; it was almost as if she didn’t trust Halil enough to pull them both out of trouble; and her hitting him with a stone - that’s was PREPOSTEROUS 🤬😵. Yes, Halil keeps needling her by saying, “you think you are so important?” every time she corners him into giving an answer and literally hurts her to find his escape. His perpetual vengefulness stems from the accusations that his father endured. So, Why the change of heart after he finds out Zeynep is not to blame? That doesn’t necessarily change what he and his family endured. He is ‘good’ to everyone but her,…. But, he can’t hide the ‘beast’ within him in front of her, For her and against her! So, Zeynep needs to get to the bottom of this abyss that he’s plunged into… the demons that haunt him, inside and out ( songül, mesela!) …. The question is, in what way was Songül’s family associated/ intertwined with the property that the Aslanlı family owned? … why was his father made victim in the theft,… the victim could have been anybody- why use your own family member? Or Halil as collateral damage to satisfy Songül’s personal gain? …. the rabbit-hole runs deep! 🤔🧐I hope the writers show Zeynep as someone who finds the truth about Songül in S2; as someone who combats Songül’s manipulative tactics. Zeynep was able to sympathise with Halil despite his mercurial behaviour, so what happened ‘now’ that she’s withdrawn against him?…. And yes, we need Lots of Love, baby 😉😍… Let’s not be stingy this season! …otherwise it will be a tough watch to endure! 🙄

@@TheSolivagant1111 OMG don't get me starting on the stone BS scenes! It was so far away of "normal Zeynep's behaviour". I'm especially mad at the scenarists since Cemre said on an interview that the stone was not supposed to be dangerous (like a fake stone) but there was a problem and she ended hurting him in the neck. Apparently he collapsed - obviously it was not in the scenario- and Cemre said that she freaked out. So, I'm really mad at these wasted episodes 125-129. Let's not talk about the "silent" Zeynep, she looked like a little child, but she was on fire at the beginning. It didn't make any sense! About season 2, I agree with you concerning Halil. She must help him to heal his inner demons before he can meet his real self. That means without Songül obviously. I'm so afraid that she could succeed to manipulate him again. She raised him after all. At least, Halil now knows that Zeynep is innocent. AND he's madly in love with her (we have to take what we can!)There are a lot of dark spots about Zeynep's dad, Halil's dad (I can't understand how somehow as nice as Zeynep's dad would blame someone in a second). We must know more about them. Did you find the scenes you were looking for? About her dad's bankruptcy? I'm at the "post köy" episodes right now. Halil is making me crazy when he tries to make Zeynep jealous with the Leyla thing. Ah, Halil, ah! 😅

EUREKA! I found it! 😂😅… ok, it was in the conversation that Halil was having with Berna (not Eren!) … episode 107 between 38:10 min and 39:20 min. He makes a very cryptic reference to the fact that he had some part to play Aslanlı’s insolvency. Quoting him, “bu olayda benim de payım olduğunu söylenebilir.” He also says that Ömer lost everything because he wasn’t able manage the property (which contradicts Zeynep’s assessment of her father!) So, Halil has taken over the property legally, which is clear from the conversation between him and zeynep in episode 2, and is unaware of any ‘conspiracy’ that Songül or someone else may have plotted to trick Ömer Aslanlı. But, what was ‘that part’ he played in the proceedings of the ‘insolvency’ is unclear - so that info can be used against him in front of Zeynep. Halil is definitely not a character who would ‘cheat’, So… what’s gotten into Zeynep’s head? we can ‘catastrophize’ in our imagination all we want until 30th sept🙄😬🫣….

He said: " I did everything I could to succeed in my plan". So I definitely think that he did horrible legal stuff to bankrupt Zeynep's family. Maybe her father had to much faith in Halil, I really hope we'll know more about this mystery. I never thought Halil would do something illegal because he has to be moral at some point (it's a Kanal7 dizi indeed. 😅) Plus he was really offensed when Zeynep called him a thief. I'm translating ep 27 right now. He just can't stand lies (he learns his aunt lied about not knowing Zümrüt hanim's illness). That's why he reacts so strongly toward Zeynep each time he thinks she's betraying him. But he definitely messed with her dad to take everything from them. We want more info ! 🧐
